While most of us are caught up with a flurry of news ahead of the general election, we should not forget what lurks in the background: the extending tentacles of China spreading across Asia through its US$4-8 trillion One Belt, One Road initiative.
The BN leader has pledged to abolish toll for motorcyclists who use the Penang Bridge if the BN wins.
Penang Forum has a list of demands which it calls on Penang’s newly elected officials of 2018 to act upon and deliver.
So polling day on 9 May, a Wednesday, will be a public holiday, the government has announced.
Is there any room for dissenting voices in Penang Pakatan over the model of development the state government is pursuing?

A fire is raging in Mount Erskine at a tower being constructed not far from other projects like The Peak and Latitude in the area.
