Student leader Safwan Anang has been arrested while blogger activist Haris Ibrahim and opposition politicians Tamrin Ghafar and Tian Chua have been re-arrested.

A tweet from Tian Chua’s account confirms the latest arrest:

Amazing – they are getting three times more than before, and the pay hikes are backdated too. Bet you didn’t realise that a Sarawak assistant minister now earns almost as much as the Prime Minister, assuming this Star graphic is accurate.

The three have been released after Magistrate Norashikin Sahat rejected a police application to remand them. It is now time for Najib to fulfil his pledge to repeal the archaic Sedition Act.
