Selangor MB crisis: What are Astro Awani, NST up to?

69

Astro Awani has come up with the following news report, MB Selangor: PKR calonkan Azmin jika Istana tolak Azizah – sumber. So to NST, with this report, Azmin named MB candidate?

But Saifuddin Nasution has released a statement correcting the reports:

Mesyuarat Majlis Pimpinan malam tadi hanya memutuskan dua perkara yakni

Another one, correcting an NST report:

DAP leaders who once used to mock MCA by accusing the party of being under “Umno’s sarong” now appeared to be very comfortable under “Anwar’s sarong” instead.

Ananars

To those who are still in denial that Azizah is incapable, a puppet or a remote control MB, here is one proof that should open your eyes. PKR’s response to palace over royal rebuke delayed PKR’s official response to the Selangor palace over the menteri besar crisis which was supposed to be submitted yesterday has been delayed. Who is the President and what is the President of PKR doing. Is not Azizah the President of PKR and she should be sorting out the issue. Why wait for Anwar when he is not the President. Why must she still have to… Read more »

Annars, you better go and chase 1 malaysia polis. Why delay rounding 9000 pps illegal secret society members, triads, drug addicts?. They may bash you like soon khor or even your family mmbers. If nothing had been done, then it then it is harmless in the eyes of law enforcement…

Ananars

cwf ; Talk lie a moron

cwf

Ananars, now you have change your mind about Pps. You have been reading selangorkini. Becareful, you may land up like rayer for using such holy word and very happy to know anil endorse such word in his blog.

lst

True. no more PPS to neutralise mat rempit samseng jalanan aka tiga line aka pekida. Be extra careful now!

cwf

Agree. This world, there is hot and cold, ying n yang. Views differ and need not to hit below the belt or speak like gaffadi, Saddam, Kim jong or hilter. Even when tax office speak, one need not agree so much to pay. One can challenge as allow in the consitution. If pm or cm speak, one may disgree with them.

Speedy Gonzalez (Penang Edition)

Anil is selling his soul for mere 1000++ monthly donation from pakatan supporters. Very bias to pakatan. Close one eye to new bungalows at botak hill. Shame on you anil money netto. Ptui!

Speedy Gonzalez (Penang Edition)

Life is hard for me. Staying in Penang even harder for me. I have no camera and only use Nokia black and white phone. I cannot send any photo to you. The question is why you make dunno about the incident? I am pretty sure you have had everything needed to publish the story. Open your both eyes now. Everyone can see it except you?

Yang

I think its too over the board to criticize Anil this way. This is a reader supported blog. Pro and anti can also give their comments. Although he may somewhat tilt a little, we must somewhat understand that it is his view and judgement although it may differ from ours. If he is very bias he could have just deleted all such comments but he did not. To ptui him is very bad.

Yang

Yes again he may not know that there are new bungalows at Botak Hill. I did earlier make a remark on this and he also did ask for some photo and submit it to him. I have yet to go and snap a photo but I believed someone will do.

tunglang

Those bungalows being built are way below & to the left side of the botak-ed hill. They are nearer the temple (shrine with a CAT Deity inside?) but still at steep slope.
Not sure if these bungalows for the rich & famous are owned by the same recalcitrant & arrogant developer of raped Relau Hills.

HPT

Is that a false accusation?
Anil need to clarify for the sake of his reputation.

cwf

Lucky Anil close 1 eye. We have to close both eyes and block our noses. See how much the ringgit runs into the straits of melaka and south cina laut.

Ananars

Congratulation Anwar and DAP got their jackpot. PAS nominate 3 names including one of their own. Don`t worry some like it this way.

On another note, Too bad the ISA has been repealed but luckily the Sedition has not been repealed yet otherwise there will be more incitement from the opposition. And too bad this blog is so bias and will close you off if you are not on his sides. Not the justice and rights he preaches

osman

Stop your nonsense here!

Ananars

Its not nonsense. Now Its jackpot 1 for Anwar and DAP.

Hadi gears up for clash with Anwarists
The PAS President also appears to be telling the party to ready itself for a divorce from Pakatan.

Supercally

Ananars you are wrong. The grand jackpot finally go to PAS.
PAS will get the MB post…

Shakirin AlIkram

My dear hotheads, why are we jumping like pop-corns when its Tuanku who will pick his MB of absolute choice. The longer that PKR chse to defy and non-comply works well for tuanku – he just sit on the Throne and let MBKI do his job win-win for slengor thanks to PKRDAP stupidity! and Thanks to Azmi, GurdialSingh of UM and PKR law consetan Aziz Bari, they put ideas in loco anwar’ head … Tuanku is world -wise … the three states … all rejected MBs. PAS has NO eligible qualified candidate. This job of MB is not about getting… Read more »

Tim

Aziz Bari is right.

cwf

Certainly bias with the holy trinity and now the famous five hijacking and world domination.

cwf

Congratulation, finally the sedition is not sleeping and is at work. Also we see our tax are put to good use by the police. They are very in maintaining security over security manned by youngsters, aunties and uncles. It show 1 Malaysia hardware multitaskin, can maintain security at 2 places at same time.

calvinsankaran

Today’s Straits Times (Singapore) also reported the same thing (see the link below). Didn’t know ST also is a UMNO/BN mouthpiece.

http://www.straitstimes.com/the-big-story/asia-report/malaysia/story/malaysias-pkr-pick-azmin-mb-if-wan-azizah-rejected-20140904

YH Siew

The continued use of repressive and bullying tactics to hold on to power will eventually hits the brick-wall as the law of diminishing returns sets in. Even tightly-ruled Singapore has softened its treatment towards its citizens by making U-turns to placate its voters. For example, the city-state has lately introduced new labor laws to make it harder for foreigners to get jobs.

charleskiwi

The people behind these false reports are just trying to patronise the present regime so that their benefits will continue to be there for as long as possible ! But these very same parties will sing a different tune when the present regime is no longer there. Sad to say that is the case every where especially in the third world like Malaysia.

owc

Is that former information minister Zainuddin Maidin trying to get malays to boycott The Star with insinuation that it is anti-Malay, in order to boost the flagging fortune of NST?

Wong Chin Huat and MCA must be worried?

Ken

It should be the editor Wong Chun Wai that is concerned for The Star.

Wong Chin Huat is a good guy fighting for justice, he is more worried about gerrymandering!

Housing crisis for Generation Y http://www.theheat.my/Article.aspx?ArticleId=5356 The young working adults are, quite literally, Malaysia’s new ‘homeless generation’ – and this is a term that’s been around for a while now in discussions about the younger generation. Conversation about the Gen-Y often revolve around how these youth, aged between 24 and about 30, are often still living with their parents or, if they are outstation folk working in Kuala Lumpur, renting a house but are unable to own one. And if they do buy properties, their houses are a distance away from where they work, leading to hours of frustration on… Read more »

HPT

Gen Y will not put hugh sum of their money on an expensive house, but are likely to spend their earnings lavishly on new gadgets (iPhone 6 is out next week) and fashion stuff regularly.

The Heat also mentioned that the household income must be at least RM7000 in order to afford a RM400,000 home. Have to wait for Vision 2020 to realize?

The Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) has urged the government to immediately end the use of the Sedition Act following a slew of charges placed against opposition politicians, activists, and even an academician this year.

Anil : With other issues going around, we have missed something very important happening in Penang which is being done in a very steathy manner by the CAT regime. It is about the demolition of the iconic PDC building in Bayan Baru and replacing it with yet another gigantic eyesore of towers and “mixed development” – euphemism for mindless development that only enriches the well connected developers (see the link below) http://www.thestar.com.my/News/Community/2014/06/03/PDC-building-to-go/ This time the Dear Leader trying to use a different trick by saying that this is for BPO and a joint venture. PDC offices to move to PDC owned Mayang Mall (built pre 308 but failed miserably as commercial unit eg HSBC moved out, then Motorola moved in then moved out last month). It’s very vacant so better consolidate PDC offices there (fyi the car park behind will tuned into phase 2 offices soon). The old PDC some said to become hotel next to sPICE. Onve convention centres of sPICE are ready, many regional meetings/conventions can be held there. The participants/visitors can stay at hotels across the streets (present PDC HQ & Olive/Arena opposite the present swimming pool). Bayan Baru to see… Read more »

calvinsankaran

So again, more public lands sold to private developers in sweet heart deals with zero transparency ?

HPT

Thanks to Dr Syam for the insightful feedback to reflect the reality in Penang.

calvinsankaran is well known in the internet circle as one who will support the ruling BN regime to the bitter end even if that means tolerating corruption, disunity, injustice and even violence. He should learn the meaning of transparency before abuse the word and expose his ignorance.

cwf

Lucky we have the macc under the bn. If no action, semua okay. Very good see how hard they are working with sedition. Malaysiakini journalist kena. Dont play play with your words. But no problem as georgie boy says if are against them, then you are with us.

Dr Syam

PDC developed RM62 million Innoplex building to house Motorola’s R&D operation.

IT-BPO hub, a joint-venture deal valued at RM11.3 billion with Temasek Holdings of Singapore, to move Penang up the value chain and become a high-income state.

Bayan Baru township to set become a fully integrated live-work-play development with close proximity to modern facilities and airport.

calvinsankaran

Wow ! You are so well informed I assume you must be working for the CAT regime.

So the Rm62M is now down in the drains as Motorola has departed? How come the state can subsidize millions for private company with zero public transparency? why this was not announced and get approved in the state assembly ? I recall the controversy created by DAP in 2008 when Gerakan wanted the Fed govt buy Motorola’s products in order for them to stay on in Penang. Has DAP policy changed 180 degrees since ?

cwf

Ignorant people like ud cannot conment much. We can also assume cakvin works for 1malaysia. Motorola is just a small red dot as compare to bumi banking, steel mill, national car, national airline. You must know how high the total pile up. Pity the small island and the eastern parts. They always get peanuts and those for 1 Malaysia finger licking goof

herman

calvinsankaran should not confuse readers here.

Since when Motorola is departing Penang?
It is Fairchild semiconductor. check your favourite NST here:
http://www.nst.com.my/node/27051

It is right for Penang government to support R&D, to move up the value chain from manufacturing.

cwf

Of course it is Gila. How much penang pay in tax…. east Malaysians are jumping … from the peanuts they are getting from malaya.

Mother of deception and a comedy of errors: What is PKR up to?

It was actually not one letter, but three, one each to PKR, DAP and PAS. This is because Pakatan Rakyat is not a “`registered““ coalition and hence not a ““legal entity““. And the Sultan does not want to talk to an organisation that “““does not legally exist.“““`

So for those who still doubt the police action regarding PPS, please understand ““legally“` and “`not legal““ before continuing to make ignorant remarks

Astro Awani typically gets the local academicians (the malay professors from UiTM and UTM usually) and provide their so-called ‘expert’ opinions on issues that tip towards favouring Umno in the effort to sway the opinion of the malay masses it is targeting. The panel discussion is usually one-sided and such platform is perhaps the opportunity for these academicians to ‘score points’ to meet KPI for promotion?

Tim

They are not public media. They are propaganda tools.

Phua Kai Lit

One basic rule of political propaganda:

“Throw enough mud and some of it will stick”

Enigma

It’s called stirring the s…-pot 🙂

Shakirin AlIkram

As per PKR Sec-Gen letter, correction is self-explanatory. Astro may be doing Azizah a favour by saving her from embarassment because Amin was already py-passed in 2013. two days ago, The Palace sources already stated (allegedly) that `Tuanku does NOT WANT a Remote – controlled MB.’ Couldn’t be more obvious than that. And yet both DAPKR defied Tuanku at their peril while PAS, since they are not involved sent their duo nominee. 43 ADUNs obeyed their Party Leaders, what a bad reflection on their herd mentality and 30 of them nominating the very candidate Tuanku has openly rejected! Guess if… Read more »

pity no body vote for independants. You can start to vote for them. Ask Ali and noordin stand as independant not stooge of pas or umno

In Hokkien, arrogant means chhe-me gu.
Reading into DAP + PKR antics, I see a chhe-me gu bo iong nau.
Arrogance is futile, much less proactive but a display of contempt…

chhe-me gu bo iong nau = blind cow with no brain.

cwf

Of course who is the blind cow unable to decipher the hidden message written ?

Supercally

PKR Anwar has received the letter from the Sultan. Still so quiet and no joy. Your guess is as good as mine. poochit

We can never trust Astro Awani, another Umno mouthpiece!

owc

Astro Awani has never invited Rafizi or Tony Pua in its Awani Analisis program.
What we get is a one-sided agenda no different from TV3.

osman

Most educated malays do not believe in NST and Awani.

lst

I watch CCTV (China), CTI (Taiwan) and Phoenix (Hong Kong) for news. I never turn on Astro 501 as it is full of propaganda.

Dr Syam

Prof Azmi (i think from UTM) always a guest on Awani, Bernama, RTM and TV3. … he has proclaimed to be bluer than blue.
The audience actually prefer intellectual debate eg Prof Azmi with someone else with alternative viewpoints otherwise we always get one-sided stories……

HPT

Astro 325 is far better than Astro 501.

ken

Believe it or not!
BN claimed that the household income in Malaysia has surpassed RM5,900 a month.

The last I know was 70% of Malaysians earn less than RM3000.

So the rich must be very rich now to bring the median up?

Wonder what is the Ginni Coefficient?

Ananars

Do you understand ““`household income“““

lst

Household income may have gone up but at much lower pace than the rapid rise of household debt as Malaysians mostly spend beyond their means via borrowing and easy credit.

calvinsankaran

Strange, couldn’t recall you highlight wrong reporting by the likes of Mkini and MInsider on many issues despite being denied may times. Press feedom is only applies for anti-BN reporting kot ?

cwf

Funny, why not sue and get money for deframation from the guy but to use sledge hammer and tax payer’s money to give him free food and lodging.

lapala

create a perception; which normally turn into reality in local political landscape is the way some media is working on ?

Ananars

Lapala : I think you misunderstood the meaning of perception. Perception is the the way you think about or understand someone or something

Actually what you are trying to tell is Deception an act of making someone or the situation for someone to believe something that is not true.

Ans this is what the CAT is doing
