This New Year, say a prayer for Yong

While we celebrate the New Year, spare a thought for Yong Vui Kong, a young Malaysian convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to death in Singapore.

Pray for a miracle, that he be given a second chance.

Pray for an even bigger miracle, the abolition of the death penalty in Malaysia and elsewhere.

All that killing him will accomplish is to save his boss the cost of paying him.

It’s interesting to look back at your poll on capital punishment:

I still support a right to capital punishment for those who wish to volunteer for it. It seems cruel to deny them.

why punish this poor kid. punish the fat cats who grow and distribute this stuff. LKY where is your hati dude? this is just a poor malaysian kid. non-malay kids in malaysia have no future lah, thats why they have to turn to such desperate things to survive.

What a waste of a human life… no one should play God!
Although,I do not condone to drug trafficking, nevertheless, the punishment should be proportionately
squared with the crime. HE WAS PROPERLY JUST A RUNNER FOR THE BIG BOYS!

Being poor, sometimes, is a crime…

Ravi, thank you for doing your utmost best to help Vui Kong.

Just feel sad… but humanly speaking, a young innocent, naive soul should be given a 2nd chance, that is humane.

Andrew I

God bless, Ravi.
