Roger Teoh gave this presentation about half a year ago, but the points he raised are still valid. Take the time to watch his presentation. If you are short of time, at least read his brilliant summary of the five serious concerns about the Penang state government’s land reclamation and https://epilepsy.wales/kamagra-sildenafil transport infrastructure plan.

CM Chow is organising LRT Run in July from Komtar to Bayan Lepas to promote PTMP.

Anil, Khoo Salma, Roger Teoh, and LimMH can form a team of 4 to participate and counter the propaganda to create true awareness ?
Worry not for my family waiting to cash in our Penang old properties to migrate to inland small town for peace of mind and lower cost.
Better sell before the property market crash. Ghost condos everywhere, they’re approving projects like we have a million migrants coming our way.
It’s a hard sell & hard to sell property market now. Even in the secondary market. Blame it on the false crystal ball gazing of property gurus. Don’t believe? Just ask any freelancing property agent, some of whom may have to drive Grab!
In the next three to five years, a third of job roles in Singapore’s finance industry will be merged or changed due to data analytics and automation, the Institute of Banking and Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said in a report. The report covers 121 job roles across front office, mid-office, back office, and enterprise functions in Singapore’s financial services industry. They represent over 90 per cent of jobs in the financial sector.

If you are in Finance or banking sector, do not commit to high housing loan since your job may not be secure soon.
Recession likely in 2010.
Brace yourself.
Make sure you have sufficient savings in case you got retrenched.
You mean 2020? Cannot back to future lah!
Can protest like fishermen losing their livelihood?
Susu teh wants to make money. People sell at suicide prices and he buy all.
Worry, because capitalism will follow you with its “development” in 10-20 years.
No Inflation?
No need 5 reasons.
It will fail simply because Penang folks prefer to drive own cars, instead of LRT or bus or team.
Simple as that.
Indeed short and simple, if Roger’s dissertation is too hard to digest!
Roger need to justify his PHD with complicated analysis and assessment. But Tamilchelvi is right.
Roger Teoh being countered by PTMP delivery partners (open tender?)

Penang eatery ordered closed after rat droppings found
https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2019/04/482145/penang-eatery-ordered-closed-after-rat-droppings-found-nsttv
Despite the random spot checks and risk of facing closure enforced by the state government for neglecting hygiene, cases like this still occur frequently, this time a famous tourist hotspot. Perhaps its time our officials do a field trip to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) to learn about what can be done for local eateries and wet markets to achieve the required hygiene standard.
“In the 1960s, the authorities started to legalise the trade by registering hawkers around the island. Even after the Republic gained independence in 1965, the demand for cheap and affordable hawker food persisted, so Singapore began the process of moving these roving hawkers out of the streets into hawker centres with proper sanitation and amenities.”

Hawkers use a pail of water for everything
Penang plans to nominate its “hawker culture” as an intangible heritage to Unesco.
State tourism, arts, culture and heritage executive councillor Yeoh Soon Hin said the state government plans to get its culture of hawkers into the Unesco Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity under the Convention for the e of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Must follow Singapore to achieve good hygiene like their well maintained and controlled hawker centres.
Hawkers will oppose as they want chip chip. Just pay licence. Roadside free free. Tung land wants chip chip one ton mee and will hunt around. Can talk big but not willing to pay.
Like to susu teh. Why waste money. Peng land cannot compare to Sing land
See the back lanes of the coffee shops at nights many rats running around!
rats running around is our heritage..NGOs say preserve at all cost…hehe
One of the most expensive transport infrastructures in Malaysia (history) for a short term 7-year panacea ie building more insane highways just to move more vehicles to urban centres in Penang This increased traffic from the PIL1 to urban centres means more demand for parking spaces.
CM Chow to eventually ask for more fundings (via questionable swap deals) for building smart parking centres? Or why not ask Pg GH to expand existing parking blocks to Mega Parking Centre? Or will he have the political will to increase parking fees to curb demand?
PTMP = Penang Transport > More Parking.
Tung land like looking for chip one ton mee will orso Ronda2 for chip parking bay.
RM3 wan tan me available at vintage shophouse behind Chowrasta market in the morning.
Anil, Tunglang and Shriek go makan there and write mouth watering reviews.
Cheers kopi o
You want everything chip chip. Chip one ton mee
The state government seems to make some changes on their PTMP plan. I found some information here https://penanginfra.com/ , still waiting for more updates
GEORGE TOWN, May 2 — Penang will be so negatively impacted by the proposed Kulim International Airport that the island state’s own international airport could “close down”, Chow Kon Yeow said today.
The Penang chief minister said in the state legislative assembly sitting today that he feared his state will be edged out as the Kulim International Airport will be newer, larger and more sophisticated.
“So when the Kulim International Airport opens, the Penang Airport could possibly close down,” Chow said in reply to a question from PKR’s Batu Uban assemblyman A. Kumaresan.
Cabinet agrees to increase matriculation intake, quota system to stay https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/473577 The cabinet has agreed to increase student intake into the pre-university matriculation programme from 25,000 to 40,000. However, the quota system allocating 90 percent of seats for bumiputera, and 10 percent for non-bumiputera will remain, according to Education Minister Maszlee Malik. “The Education Ministry had raised the matriculation intake issue in today’s cabinet meeting. “The cabinet has agreed to increase the intake into the programme to 40,000, from the previous 25,000,” he said in a statement today. Maszlee added that the move was to ensure performing students are given… Read more »
Need meritocracy to prevent brain drain to Singapore universities.
No UEC recognition and want the chinese to study in national school yet limit their opportunity to IPTAs with unfair quota on matriculation intake?
Luckily Singapore offer lifelines (scholarship and bursary) to its universities if you have good results in UEC or STPM. With UEC options open as well to overseas education not just Taiwan or China.
Malaysia’s Chinese independent schools face uphill climb in quest for qualification recognition

No point taking STPM now as places for university are not restricted de to many taking matriculation!
Can still take STPM to gain entry to Singapore’s NUS or NTU.
Pg ngos can’t see. Anil’s satellite map show how much brown pg is. If cut hills, tung land goes ah jee ah Jo. If cannot cut hill, then build high ground from sea. Or everything cannot be carried out. Tung land himself buy a condo. What a happy buyer and now do not want to go to velum valley
You are still the same ‘not trying harder’ but spinning rubbish & character assassination!
Trying to prove your worth (how much?) to earn Komar Dedak?
Go drive Grab! Or shriek all day long!
You assassinate your own character. Just bring your facts. Cheaper and more Moser and clean to live in flat than Wong fei hoong shop house in heritage area.
what …this roger dude haven’t graduate yet after so loooong ?
He is more knowledgeable than 90% of your party. Democratic socialism ahaha…People first or Cronies first?
You no more cari makan from your bossku?
At least Roger didn’t laugh / giggle after his presentation to show how serious matter this PTMP is for an intrusive overhaul.
Man not make to laugh or shed tears?
I can’t help laughing at the antics of the pretenders…..hehe
Roger Teoh is a good analyst too full of himself given he is not really a builder of much.. 1) Who says the density of Reclaimed land cannot be one of the highest in the world? If we move Penang main urban center to it, it will be. 2) PIL1 is one of the most expensive. So what if it can pay for itself? 3) LRT projection is high and on purpose to justity to built redundancy ahead of need is not unusual for politician and does not have to be a disaster. KL LRT did not breakeven for 20… Read more »
Everything in penang is a waste !
DAP are so arrogant that they think themselves are on par with PAP. No where near, fellas.
PAP ministers are highly paid in Sing dollars. You are dud to compare. Better than your gilakan or dummo.
