Five reasons why ‘PTMP’ is a white elephant masterplan

Roger Teoh gave this presentation about half a year ago, but the points he raised are still valid. Take the time to watch his presentation. If you are short of time, at least read his brilliant summary of the five serious concerns about the Penang state government’s land reclamation and https://epilepsy.wales/kamagra-sildenafil transport infrastructure plan.

CM Chow is organising LRT Run in July from Komtar to Bayan Lepas to promote PTMP.

Anil, Khoo Salma, Roger Teoh, and LimMH can form a team of 4 to participate and counter the propaganda to create true awareness ?

Worry not for my family waiting to cash in our Penang old properties to migrate to inland small town for peace of mind and lower cost.

Better sell before the property market crash. Ghost condos everywhere, they’re approving projects like we have a million migrants coming our way.

It’s a hard sell & hard to sell property market now. Even in the secondary market. Blame it on the false crystal ball gazing of property gurus. Don’t believe? Just ask any freelancing property agent, some of whom may have to drive Grab!

In the next three to five years, a third of job roles in Singapore’s finance industry will be merged or changed due to data analytics and automation, the Institute of Banking and Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) said in a report. The report covers 121 job roles across front office, mid-office, back office, and enterprise functions in Singapore’s financial services industry. They represent over 90 per cent of jobs in the financial sector.

If you are in Finance or banking sector, do not commit to high housing loan since your job may not be secure soon.

No need 5 reasons.

It will fail simply because Penang folks prefer to drive own cars, instead of LRT or bus or team.

Simple as that.

Penang eatery ordered closed after rat droppings found

https://www.nst.com.my/news/nation/2019/04/482145/penang-eatery-ordered-closed-after-rat-droppings-found-nsttv

Despite the random spot checks and risk of facing closure enforced by the state government for neglecting hygiene, cases like this still occur frequently, this time a famous tourist hotspot. Perhaps its time our officials do a field trip to the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) to learn about what can be done for local eateries and wet markets to achieve the required hygiene standard.

“In the 1960s, the authorities started to legalise the trade by registering hawkers around the island. Even after the Republic gained independence in 1965, the demand for cheap and affordable hawker food persisted, so Singapore began the process of moving these roving hawkers out of the streets into hawker centres with proper sanitation and amenities.”

One of the most expensive transport infrastructures in Malaysia (history) for a short term 7-year panacea ie building more insane highways just to move more vehicles to urban centres in Penang This increased traffic from the PIL1 to urban centres means more demand for parking spaces.

CM Chow to eventually ask for more fundings (via questionable swap deals) for building smart parking centres? Or why not ask Pg GH to expand existing parking blocks to Mega Parking Centre? Or will he have the political will to increase parking fees to curb demand?

PTMP = Penang Transport > More Parking.

GEORGE TOWN, May 2 — Penang will be so negatively impacted by the proposed Kulim International Airport that the island state’s own international airport could “close down”, Chow Kon Yeow said today.

The Penang chief minister said in the state legislative assembly sitting today that he feared his state will be edged out as the Kulim International Airport will be newer, larger and more sophisticated.

“So when the Kulim International Airport opens, the Penang Airport could possibly close down,” Chow said in reply to a question from PKR’s Batu Uban assemblyman A. Kumaresan.

Cabinet agrees to increase matriculation intake, quota system to stay https://www.malaysiakini.com/news/473577 The cabinet has agreed to increase student intake into the pre-university matriculation programme from 25,000 to 40,000. However, the quota system allocating 90 percent of seats for bumiputera, and 10 percent for non-bumiputera will remain, according to Education Minister Maszlee Malik. “The Education Ministry had raised the matriculation intake issue in today’s cabinet meeting. “The cabinet has agreed to increase the intake into the programme to 40,000, from the previous 25,000,” he said in a statement today. Maszlee added that the move was to ensure performing students are given… Read more »

No UEC recognition and want the chinese to study in national school yet limit their opportunity to IPTAs with unfair quota on matriculation intake?

Luckily Singapore offer lifelines (scholarship and bursary) to its universities if you have good results in UEC or STPM. With UEC options open as well to overseas education not just Taiwan or China.

Roger Teoh is a good analyst too full of himself given he is not really a builder of much.. 1) Who says the density of Reclaimed land cannot be one of the highest in the world? If we move Penang main urban center to it, it will be. 2) PIL1 is one of the most expensive. So what if it can pay for itself? 3) LRT projection is high and on purpose to justity to built redundancy ahead of need is not unusual for politician and does not have to be a disaster. KL LRT did not breakeven for 20… Read more »
