We are Water: Chap Go Meh by the river

Aida Redza and her troupe held participants at the riverside Chap Goh Meh gathering spellbound as they performed a dance in tribute to water called We are Water.

The mesmerising dance (top video) was performed at the Sungai Ara Linear Park, where the local community had organised a lively celebration and solidarity meal for the evening.

Another troupe performed a zumba dance on both banks of the river (bottom video).

The Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) issued a third water alert as the Sungai Muda dam’s capacity plummeted to only 7.44% yesterday.

PBAPP CEO Jaseni Maidinsa said Kedah’s Muda Dam is at “critical level, and it can no longer support” the Sungai Muda river level during this dry season.
