Only you can change the world….

A spectacular sunset at Teluk Air Tawar: How long more will the public get to see this? - ANIL NETTO

A message from La Salle Br Anthony Rogers:

Before you forget 2024, recall just three of your most beautiful and joyful memories and try in 2025 to make it SIX.

A happier you is a better Malaysia and more loving world. Your self-care, a kind word, an act of caring and openness to others outside our walls are the bridges to change strangers into God’s friends.

Twenty-five years in the 21st Century can start a smart world with a heart.

Only you, only you can change the world because only God-in-you and God-with-you has the power to make a difference to the lives of others.

Death does not put an end to your life but strangely puts ‘heaven’ in people’s minds and hearts. You don’t go to heaven, you leave behind heaven for them. Some people go to Hell by creating Hell on Earth with no time to live in Love and grow with Joy.

Have a beautiful 2025 and 365 days of self-made memories of loving yourself as YOU ARE!

Some of us believe today that God did not make humanity… God only made Human Beings like you and me and we sculpture humanity.

Strangely, we pray to God to end wars and famines but continue to deform infants and youth in our formative nurseries of family, schools and media.

If adults are comfortable in the “human ecology” we have created, we are totally unaware of the toxic elements that pollute the very sources of our common inner life of passion for God and compassion for fellow human persons, both male and female.

2025 is a year of Hope in the one God of the Universe and the human being and Creation. Unity with God is manifested in our unity as Humanity.

Allow the young in the high-tech world of “mega-digitalisation” to rediscover the joy of high-touch human relationships. The world they build today is the legacy they will give their children.

The year of Hope is the beginning of an era of children and young people.

P.S. For many, God may be the Divine, the Sacred, the Transcendental, etc.

But for the digital millennials, God’s name is not as important as God’s will. They are looking for Truth, often swept under the carpet by political and even religious leaders.

So walk with the young to evoke Truth and extricate the lies and misinformation.

Blessings for 2025

Your advice applies to little people. The big guns in industry and investment produce and consume increasingly more every year. Governments set up or attend many international conferences and summits, purportedly for the benefit of the masses. Hypocrisy rules.

Are you part of the Big Guns?
Focus on your circle of influence and worry not about others. Do what we can however small our contribution might be. No point talking and complaining about hypocrisy.

… A billionaire couple (Big Gun?) who own around 60% of an important California water resource, have come under intense criticism for using more water than every home in Los Angeles combined, with critics arguing that their actions may be hindering efforts to contain the city’s ongoing wildfires.

California tried to save smelt fish thus no water diverted for fire fighting purpose. Sometimes environmentalists caused more harm with their cause.

Water in California is an old issue. There are much worse things in the Greatest Democracy. The purpose of bringing such news to you is to distract you from the hypocrisy, injustice and plunder right before your eyes and around you.

Hope you can clarify “hypocrisy, injustice and plunder” with specific incidents, to avoid any ambiguity. It is a way to educate readers like me.

A happier Malaysia is when the opposition parties are not continuously harassing the present Madani government with baseless accusations.

Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari repeated his call to let Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim complete his five-year term as prime minister.

The Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) chairman noted there were certain quarters that were too pre-occupied with talking about replacing Anwar as the prime minister in the media.

Actually, you are making a baseless statement because it lacks specific examples to support the claim that opposition parties are making baseless accusations against the Unity government.

You should inform our Rakyat about the specific baseless accusations made by which opposition parties.

Claims of “threats to Islam” are often weaponised by opposition parties to polarise communities, divert attention from substantive issues, and undermine moderate voices of Madani government.
This divisive rhetoric threatens national unity, exploits religious sensitivities, and stifles progress.

Baseless accusations are racial and religious in nature. We all know about it but cannot point them out specifically because we will perpetuate their wild allegations in the name of ketuanan.

The fact that PAS stood up vocally for convicted criminal Najib Razak shows that PAS is supportive of UMNO and corruption. To PAS, money comes first before religion. PAS supporters need to re-evaluate how they will vote for GE16 because a vote for PAS is akin to a vote for UMNO.

The unending drama of high profile political court cases are wasting our resources as people are wasting their productive time being drawn to the controversies. Bottom line is our nation cannot advance productively and foreign investors are discouraged from putting their money here!

If you want reform then there should be no place for PN-PAS and Umno. Too much emphasis on religious reform but little effort to boost economy with higher productivity (do more with higher wage increase).

Sadly the statistics show that 62% want the status quo of subsidies and no inclination towards economic reform.

Clapton’s Tears in Heaven?

You walked into the room
I just had to laugh
The face you wore was cool
You were a photograph
When it’s all too late
It’s all too late
I did not have the time
I did not have the nerve
To ask you how you feel
Is this what you deserve?
When it’s all too late
It’s all too late
Change
You can change
Change
You can change
And something on your mind
Became a point of view
I lost your honesty
You lost the life in you….

Most people have high resistance to change. They are happy to live in the comfort zone. Therefore any subsidy removal will annoy them. But the country cannot move forward to new challenges if the people is still living and operating in the old era mentality.

Chinese politics has to evolved especially DAP. The confrontational style of old DAP under LGE is no longer effective. Malay politics has dominated and suppressed all minorities right of voice. Anthony loke style of quiet influence is less disruptive. Politics is Malaysia are driven by malay narratives. Until the day malay politicians starts to wake up, there is basically nothing much dap or mca or gerakan can do. The country slides until pain causes malay politics to accept reality of our madness, then maybe we all can come in to rebuild this fractured nation…maybe.

” Hundreds to wed as Thai same-sex marriage law comes into force ”
by AFP dd 23 Jan 2025, 09:52 AM

https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/world/2025/01/23/hundreds-to-wed-as-thai-same-sex-marriage-law-comes-into-force/

========

If marriage were solely for the purpose of procreation, I am sure that same-sex marriage would not be sanctioned by the Almighty.

So, can this be considered a sinful act?

These individuals in same-sex relationships have found a … loophole to circumvent this belief.
