Tian Chua detained by 20 cops; Rafizi, Hisham remanded for three days
Why 20 cops to detain Tian Chua (according to his tweet)? Why was Mat Sabu detained by armed men in ski masks? Why was Hisham Rais bundled away by unidentified men? What message is being conveyed here? That these activists and opposition politicians are dangerous?
The arrests come ahead of a planned protest rally outside Sogo at 4.00pm today, which also happens to be the day of the Big Wedding.

Hisham Rais picked up by unknown men and taken to Dang Wangi
Activist Hisham Rais was bundled into a silver Honda by unknown men at Dataran Merdeka and taken away on the eve of a mass protest rally which also happens to be the day of the Big Wedding. He is now at the Dang Wangi Police Station.
According to Fahmi Fadzil, Hisham said he was in a taxi, which was being trailed by a car and some motorbikes. When he got off the taxi, six men grabbed him. “One of them dragged him by his chest, covered Hisham’s mouth to stop him from shouting. They threw Hisham into another car and took him to Dang Wangi.”

Elected reps in lock-up uniforms
These are the elected representatives of the people of Teja and Simpang Pulai. They were arrested when police swooped down on a Pecat IGP sit-in at Dataran Merdeka earlier today.
Meanwhile, Rafizi Ramli is the latest elected rep to be arrested while a UM lecturer Dr Khoo Ying Hooi is under investigation for an article he wrote.

Penang government opposes ferry fare hikes, offers to take over service
The Penang government is opposing the stiff proposed fare hikes for the poor ferry service between the island and the mainland. Instead it is once again offering to take over the ferry service and turn it around by adding 30 more ferries or other vessels.
