Poll: Are you satisfied with Mahathir’s apology?

Mahathir and Anwar are in opposition ranks - but will their truce hold?

Well, he has finally listened and bitten the bullet. Imagine, he has said sorry… bet you didn’t see that coming. Said a friend, “I never imagined I would hear him say ‘sorry’ in my lifetime!”

“Saya, seperti manusia lain tidak mungkin sunyi dari berkata dan melaku kesalahan bukan sahaja hari ini tetapi juga selama saya berkecimpung dalam politik negara. Saya pohon maaf terhadap apa juga kesalahan saya selama itu.”

Is it enough for you? Are you happy?

Meanwhile, a PKR source familiar with Bersatu local leaders told me the new party was drawing support from thousands of ex-Umno members, many of whom have defected to Mahathir’s side.

Check out the rapturous reception Mahathir received from the Bersatu members in the video below.

Umno should be concerned.

The one thing Mahathir do deserve is attacking the entire religo-class in this country – The only other national leader who dare to do this is Zaid Ibrahim when, in the first generation UMNO leaders, it was quite common.

Hadi’s PAS is a more immediate threat to this country than prodigal Najib and UMNO.

Only Mahathir dare to proclaim that nobody in Malaysia, regardless of your position or bloodline, is immune from the law and is subjected to punishment for wrongdoing.

The younger generation may not know that certain powerful clan abused their positions in the 80s thus Mahathir then made everyone answerable to our laws.

English Premier League football matches will be free again if Pakatan rules the country, said Pakatan Youth.

Pakatan Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said they want EPL fans in Malaysia to enjoy the most-followed league in the world. The live matches should not be monopolize d by Astro.

So a very good reason to vote for Harapan.

Sorry seems to be the hardest word – Elton John It takes great courage, honesty & humility to say “I am sorry” And many leaders of today don’t have the above qualities to say it when things go wrong. Like one great thief of Malaya Nusantara who not only didn’t apologise & give back what he has stolen, BUT go to great lengths to cover up tracks of sins with excuses like Saudi Donation, blah, blah, belah. Like I said earlier some months ago, Dr Mahathir must apologise to gain Malaysian Trust to fulfil a mission – to help save… Read more »

Given more time, Prime Minister Najib Razak will sell more land, Pakatan Harapan chairman Dr Mahathir said in his latest blog posting. Dr Mahathir was reacting to news that Bank Negara Malaysia had bought from the federal government 22.58ha of land to build the Global Islamic Finance University and the International Research Academy for Islamic Finance. “Selling assets is one way for the government to make money. We sold land in Penang and Port Klang recently and made enough money to pay the second instalment of the debt owed to IPIC. “We still have more land. If we sell a… Read more »

Patrick Teoh wrote “It’s a Do or die for PH and BN”: Not winning this election will mean it will be another 3-4 elections for PH to get in the same position. Why? If Najib wins this election, he will prove everyone that he’s invincible. We can argue whether Mahathir was corrupt, but whether he was or not, corruption back then was never this blatant. Nowadays, nobody cares to even hide it anymore. And if they can do this in broad daylight, they can do other things to weaken the opposition post election, with no repercussions on themselves. So PH… Read more »

Dependence on – and support for – communal politcal power is part of conservatism. The latter is a mental disease that leads to ruin in the long run., a danger second only to fascism. Proof: “democratic,” “religious” USA today. Read the real news on it, being condelmned as fake and censored, from alternative sources, not the propaganda (actual fake) including entertainment from the mouthpieces of the plutocrats. The latter sources even rewrite history. Learn before it is too late.

Where is your principles when Dr. M has always been blamed for most of the problem in this country by the likes of Lim Kit Siang and his DAP minions, but now he’s the saviour of this country, who in your stupid words, provide “glimmer of hope”? The harsh reality: no Chinese in their right mind would want to send their kids to Sekolah Kebangsaan! B’cos no Chinese parents would want to see their beloved kids ‘progress’ (in your hallucination) but are left far behind kids from SJKC schools, which if you have no knowledge (I guess) of how good the discipline is & how the teaching methods produce better & smart & disciplined kids. SJKC kids have no time to lepak unlike those from SK with few daily homework! As for survival in a global economy, I would encourage kids to learn up Chinese language besides… Read more »

The real dude engineer hopes that Dr. M will suddenly rejoin umno. Certainly the dude will welcome Dr. M back to umno and kiss his back and toes just like mike Tyson.
As long as dude engineer have racist policies, the leopard will never change his spot. Not even east malaysians can become PM even attending SK sch or in the sarawak rangers. Bigot and narrow minded engineer thinks opposing mind is not contributing to nation building.

It’s a joke. How many past Aliran issues were dedicated to demonizing Dr. M and attacking his legacies? And now everything is hunky dory with Dr. M the moment he apologizes and turns the table against UMNO? It’s called “jilat ludah sendiri”, hypocritical, no shame, no principles at all. And now the 92 year old man wants to stand for election again? This got to be the biggest joke of the century.

I’ll repeat here. Dr.M is 93 year old grandfather and have been a premier for this country for 22 freaking years. He’s most likely much much older than most blog readers here, lol! The sulking Malaysians who still prefer to demonise Mahathir rather think of the damage being done by the present government are generally a small section of the urban middle and upper class who tout themselves as democrats and intellectuals. They prefer to cut their noses to spite their own faces. Then, there are those who always feel aggrieved if no apologies are openly offered to soothe their troubled souls. However, thanks to the thinking and forgiving rakyat who understand that the priority is to reform the country and right the wrongs so as to improve the lot of the suffering… Read more »
