Anwar’s daughter, Nurul Nuha, has received a rousing reception at a Pakatan ceramah at the Han Chiang school hall in Penang attended by about 600 people.
The ceramah bearing the theme Jangan Menyerah Kalah features speakers such as Sabu, Chong Eng, Chow Kon Yeow, Guan Eng, Kit Siang and Aliran’s P Ramakrishnan. Rising star Syerleena Abdul Rashid is the emcee.
Earlier, Sabu also received loud applause as he took the stage.
Nurul says the family visited Anwar in prison on Friday and Anwar’s message was “Don’t give up hope and carry on the struggle.”
“We will never surrender!” thunders Nurul Nuha with great emotion. “Lawan tetap … LAWAN!”
The crowd in the packed hall rise to their feet as Nurul Nuha wades out of the hall.

However, some beg to be differ and those who follow this blog know well that a foodie turned cosmopolitan critic has become disillusioned and since then has not recovered from the reality shocks.
Well, after all the apparently uncontrolled property development in Penang, somehow Han Chiang has lost a bit of its glitter.
The seat belongs to Anwar and hence if he wants his daughter to take over and he can make a case for it, why not? Its not nepotism, its inheritance. She seems more qualified than a lot of MPs on either side..
