Yet, Steven Sim was selected as Penang DAP chairman, Ramkarpal as his deputy and Hui Ying as secretary.
So what do you make of it?
From the Malay Mail:
Deputy chief minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo and state exco Wong Hon Wai only obtained 503 votes and 340 votes respectively. Jagdeep was the state DAP deputy chairman in the previous term, while Wong was the state treasurer.
The four other assemblymen with low votes are Heng Lee Lee (Berapit), Ong Ah Teong (Batu Lanchang), Joseph Ng Soon Siang (Air Itam) and K Kumaran (Bagan Dalam).

The Chinese island of Hainan, in the south of the country, has become a global hub for tilapia farming. On this island, large-scale fish farms employ techniques such as hormonal sex reversal to boost tilapia production and optimize market supply.
These advanced methods have positioned Hainan as a leader in the global aquaculture industry. But what exactly is the process behind this mass fish production?
Fish farming is a sustainable business.
No need to worry about bad weather at sea. Penang should get fishermen to move to fish farming.
talipia is not a good fish. it eat rubbish and destroy other species
The Penang Ferry Floating Museum, housed in decommissioned iconic ferry “Pulau Pinang” was towed on Thursday (Oct 3) from the Bagan Dalam slipway on the mainland to Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT) where it will be anchored before being moved to its permanent place at Tanjung City Marina.
The final journey of Feri “Pulau Penang” was reported on 8TV news:
Great for Penang to preserve memories of the iconic ferries. Cheers!
Zairil who is in charge of Penang transport is not aware of the ineffective running of RapidPenang, where the bus arrival apps is not working (as are the display of bus information screens at many locations) ?????

Anil can sing-along. Cheers!
So they one who got the 2nd and 12th highest vote were selected? Wow, that’s very…democratic.
Jagdeep’s situation is shocking. He’s MIA due to his “personal issues” yet no replacement. He’s the DCM and exco member despite widespread dissatisfaction over his selection. Says so much about the CAT of the DAP state government.
The state should remove the DCM1 and 2 position. Why was this position even created ? What was suppose to be its function ? Is it suppose to represent something ?
What has this 2 position achieved so far ? To date, we Rakyat are still in the dark about it. Just wasting our tax money. Every now and then, the state keeps raising the rates ( under monopoly ).
We Rakyat do not have or are not given any cheaper alternatives. After assembly meeting, have durian feast while we slog.
DAP Happy Valley branch chairman R. Ganeson has accused the party of being afraid of its own shadow.

He could follow Ramasamy to leave the party?
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow opted to stay out of the precarious elections He would likely continue his chief ministership term until the next state election, scheduled by 2027. Is this likely and possible?
One Penang DAP representative claims there is no tiger existing in present day rockets that dare to speak out like the late Karpal Singh, who if alive today would have defended Teresa Ok over the halal certification matter.
He speaks on behalf of the public, who sense present DAP ministers are too quite to safeguard their positions?
Bukit Mertajam MP Steven Sim has been appointed Penang DAP chairman after the state party elections today.
Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh is deputy chairman while Tanjong Bunga assemblyman Zairil Khir Johari and former state executive councillor Yeoh Soon Hin are vice-chairmen.
” An undemocratic action by the Democratic Action Party? ” by Ibrahim M Ahmad dd 23 Sep 2024, 09:00 AM https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/opinion/2024/09/23/an-undemocratic-action-by-the-democratic-action-party/ ======== While they outwardly promote the concept of Malaysian Malaysia, emphasizing its multicultural and multiracial identity, the reality is quite different. Behind the scenes, they engage in chauvinism. They criticize the majority group at the national level, pointing fingers and making various accusations, yet they themselves perpetuate the very behaviors they decry in others. It’s quite hypocritical, especially when led by someone who gives a false sense of warmth and good in giving bear hugs. Guess this is what it means when the political… Read more »
uncle rakyat – you can show and prove it is bad, can you show which parti is good? Cant show, then you show yourself to be sour grapes
Am just an old senior critic excising his constitutional rights with his rickety old fingers on the keyboard. I have no affiliation with any political party. Am simply critiquing the issues I see—just calling a spade a spade.
Just because I highlight issues involving one political party, it does not mean I have to endorse another. Political discourse sometimes requires us to be critical without necessarily providing an alternative at every turn.
Uncle rakyat – everything you write and speak is bad. Nothing good. At least you use your grey matter, analyse, dissect and then give critical analysis rather than kbkb, kopy here and there. Parrot here and there. Primary school budak can orso do that
Yep, other than you I don’t see nor hear any other primary school boys or girls saying anything here.
And yes, for bad people it will always be nothing good and anything written or spoken is bad.
Perhaps you should reflect on your own approaches before making judgments about others.
As usual, it looks like you are misinterpreting my comments. Let’s focus on the issues at hand rather than assuming discontent.
