Kampung Majidee lies within the Johor state assembly seat of Tanjung Puteri. In the 2008 general election, the Umno candidate polled 23023 votes for a reduced 13740-vote majority (2004 – 19676-vote majority).
The Tanjung Puteri seat in turn lies within the Johor Bahru parliamentary seat. In 2008, Shahrir Samad of BN retained this seat with a sharply reduced majority of 25349 votes, nearly half his winning majority of 46792 votes in 2004.

He said that rich Umno cronies support Umno because they can get big contracts in millions of ringgit, but poor kampung malays can only get BR1M RM500. so they shoudl wise up.
He also asked the malays to ask Umno how Mahathr’s son can have so much money to buy San Miguel brewery in Philipines.
Suddenly Johor is no longer a BN fortress.
About time for Johoreans to wake up and reject BN!

By the way, any political inteli is way more comprehensive and reliable than your own observation. You are living in a very small circle, talking to small groups of pakatan hardcore supporters.
