All kinds of jobs, white or blue collars in Singapore are attracting Malaysians.

We in turn import foreign workers to energise our economy.

No wonder the Ringgit cannot rise.

Can Anwar Eradicate ‘Systemic’ Corruption In Malaysia? https://youtube.com/watch?si=6u98Q5GYYjB-ljxm&v=CtyrWtIhT_U&feature=youtu.be In his effort to crack down on graft, he has gone after influential business and political figures, including former Finance Minister, Daim Zainuddin. The key ally of former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad faces two charges for failing to comply with a notice to declare his assets. Two of Mahathir’ sons, Mirzan and Mokhzani Mahathir, are also under investigation. But Anwar’s critics say his corruption busting campaign is politically motivated, pointing to the dismissal of charges against his own ally in the government, UMNO President, Zahid Hamidi. What is behind the corruption… Read more »

“Anwar dismayed over backlash in bringing Palestinians here for treatment”

Why so dismayed ?  There are conflicts occurring in many parts of the world. We are a small peaceful Nation with limited resources. We have our own issues or challenges that requires our government’s attention and needs to be resolved.

Therefore, the top priority of our elected government must be the health and growth of our nation and the well being of our Rakyat .

However, many of us Rakyat are seeing an apparent misuse of governmental authority and the misallocation of our nation’s resources.

There don’t seem to be any transparency and accountability, especially given the pressing issues we must address at home.

How much is this episode costing our Nation and tax payers and who authorized it ?

Thumbs up—please carry on with your plans. One more suggestion: It would be beneficial to include a couple of souvenir shops that sell local art and crafts in the redeveloped retail spaces.  This would enhance the experience for cruise passengers, who are primarily foreign tourists, and allow them to take home a piece of our local culture and history. It is… Read more »

We, Rakyat are concern regarding the recent decision to utilize military assets for transporting non-citizens injured in a long-standing conflict ( more than half a century ), thousands of miles away, for medical treatment here.

The questions arise: What is the authorization process for such significant actions? Was this decision made by Parliament, the Cabinet, or a unilateral choice by one individual? Furthermore, are taxpayer funds being allocated for this operation?

We Rakyat are also wondering about the collective responsibility of the rest of the coalition members and opposition parties—are they truly engaged in the pressing issues that impacts our Rakyat?

This action warrants transparency and accountability regarding how our tax money is being spent and for whose benefit. As we navigate these challenging times, it is crucial that our voices are heard and that government actions reflect the priorities and welfare of the Rakyat and our Nation.

” Social media platform for Malaysians in the works? ” By Bernie Yeo  dd  1 hour ago https://focusmalaysia.my/social-media-platform-for-malaysians-in-the-works/ ======== Establishing a social media application specifically for Malaysians is indeed a commendable initiative. However, let’s take a moment to examine the PADU program. This program was developed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in collaboration with the Department of Statistics and the Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Management Planning Unit under the current government. The primary goal of the PADU program is to enhance the distribution of subsidies and, ultimately, to facilitate more informed decision-making in policy formulation. So, what is happening to the PADU program now ? How is it being used ?… Read more »

It is important to note that the Constitution also ensures that non-Muslims have the freedom to practice their own religions without any interference. It is essential that we adhere to the principles outlined in the Federal Constitution and respect its provisions.

Have you noticed that PAS is not merely discussing the typical challenges faced in a marriage? Rather, they are talking about severing ties entirely. They want Gerakan to leave the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, find a new partner, and establish a fresh political home elsewhere. What has happened to the legacy of Gerakan, a party that once governed Penang for over two decades? Currently, Gerakan appears disoriented and directionless, allowing itself to be manipulated rather than asserting its position. Why is there a lack of visionary leadership reminiscent of Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu? It’s so disheartening to witness this decline.

Given your extensive experience in governance, with over 20 years under your belt, Gerakan certainly possesses the capacity to take the lead in forming a new coalition alongside smaller parties and possibly one or two larger ones.

It’s time for some serious brainstorming! Must we, the rakyat, point this out to you? However, the first step is to find the courage ( grow a pair first ) to act decisively and reclaim your place in the political arena. Step up, can or not, Gerakan!

If PN ala PAS have agreed to partner Umno BN after GE 15, there will be no Madani government. NMs have no choice but to choose the better of two evils. Just keep complaining until GE16 where it will be another headache for NMs to make a choice. Without Zahid, Umno B will split from PH. Then start another series of complaints. They never end.
