RM4.8BIL IN REVENUE LOSS FROM SST EXEMPTION By Bernama /

To be honest, the Government is not only paying for the use of fuel by the Rakyat, it is also paying for the purchase of their vehicles. The Government has gone above and beyond its Duty, Obligation and Responsibility in looking after the Rakyat on this issue. The Covid epidemic is almost over. The Rakyat appreciates and says thanks to the Ruling Government.

For a start, is there any penalty on vehicles of low efficiency? Even though rich people’s children can show off in them and pay for the fuel, the country loses foreign reserves.

A few years ago, we also got propaganda on efficient electrical appliances. What happened?

F2 == While the fuel subsidy is important to be maintained for now to avoid price increase across the board by the scrupulous business community who may be waiting to take advantage of it, the temporary exemption of SST duties for the cars may no longer be necessary. If the Rakyat can afford to buy a car am sure they can afford to pay for the one time SST duties. When private bus transport was serving us, there was no need for mega-projects. Under-regulation, interference in competition and (for low-traffic routes) lack of subsidies destroyed that system. I.e., destroy genuine privatisation for crony privatisation.

You know that the current Secretary General (AL) of DAP was the Transport Minister during PH governing our Nation. They were there for 22 months. Did he do anything about it. Can remember he introduced the use of tinted glasses for cars even though some enforcement authorities disagreed to it.
Was it a priority?

Pejuang’s founder does not believe multicultural parties can work in Malaysia. This sounds like he is playing racial card although he always claims he is not racist.
He is working with near 100 Malay specific NGOs that may not subscribe to People’s Agenda aspiration.

Malaysia is being governed by a small group of elites comprising of the leader of the country’s biggest political party and a handful of council members and close advisers, major corporate owners, directors and high-ranking officers of the armed forces. They work and play together, employ one another, and marry into each other’s families.

All in the same boat siphoning, cheating and making money from the Rakyat’s Coffers which doesn’t belong or Earned by these individuals.

Don Obori controversy – Isnt religion supposed to help solve society problems like mat rempits, basikal lanjak, drugs , pornography, gangsterism, bullying in school etc etc , to name a few. How does the religious department justify the allocation spent on it in tackling these prevailing problem?Instead they are being a busybody policing what people should wear, should not wear, what social function they should or should not attend.

Due to poor knowledge and lack of education, they could not tell the difference between culture and religion. Already PAS adopts Arabian culture wholesale even if they are not Islamic in nature.

My circle of friends believe that any coalition of the opposition is just a fantasy because what’s the use of being in a coalition and your candidate is not selected for the GE. It’s an endless circus of wanting to unite yet for what reason. Every party with different agenda and aspiration wants power (YB and ministerial or GLC positions) and be counted in. Coalition may be possible only after the elections as seen in every GE, as seen in many countries today.

The bloated and oversized Keluarga Malaysia cabinet has no idea about their role and function as cabinet ministers. Cabinet positions are seen as rewards for politicians from the political coalition that form the ruling government of the day.

The cabinet must shrink its size and budget down considerably and re-allocate the fund to the state governments – for economic development.

HRH Sultan of Johor has just fired the first salvo.

In the Little Red Dot that must not be named, the ministers have class. They speak and act responsibly and competently. Each one may hold multiple portfilios and be the back-up (“Deputy”) to another minister. If anyone in the cabinet performs poorly, he gets the boot (I think the new PM-designate suffered demotion for a while). MPs perform their duties for their constituences every day, not just personal business and clubbing.

Many critisized PH as poor performance in 22 months of governance. But the subsequent PN and now Burberry regime is really worst off causing barang naik of epic proportions! Ringgit is so weak (poor government is key reason) making imported food more unaffordable, no thanks to little focus on local farming – as though Malaysian youth can handle high tech and industrial jobs. We must think carefully and not simply vote in PN or BN in next GE!

A BN-PN government run by clueless and incompetent ministers, are more interested in ‘chicken and eggs story than looking into price increase across the board.
Today, there are ‘fires’ everywhere! Yet all they can think of, is to play the ‘tongkat mentality’ game, give pittance subsidy to the B40, hoping to fish for their supports in the coming GE15.
It’s really pathetic the government has failed miserably to understand it’s the Rakyat, not only the B40, that makes the government of the day.

Our government debt has risen by RM320 billion, the ringgit’s value is plummeting, inflation is on the rise again, prices for food and consumer goods are climbing steeply, wages are declining, unemployment is high, and the rakyat is falling deeper into debt.

Despite this, we have yet to hear Zafrul articulate any viable fiscal policy to reverse these trends.

Politics and political leaders at Putrajaya had all gone bad. Much of the tax and other revenue collected from the rakyat goes to the lavishness of our political leaders, that is, the PM, many senior Ministers, busloads of deputies, excos, GLC chairs etc. All these guys take home big fat salaries (some even without working) allowance and other benefits. A huge bulk of tax and revenue also goes to paying the bloated civil service their salaries and pensions.

Germany encourages public transport in view of rising fuel cost, only 9 Euro a month to move around.

https://youtu.be/ch0w71ovxbM

Because of heavily subsidised fuel, current patrol price does not hurt the Malaysian consumers’ pocket yet but for how long? It will soon be a burden to M40 household when subsidy strictly reserved for B40 once a new policy can be effectively implemented.

People in some developed countries including NZ cycle even in cold weather. This is because their governments are not taking care of them from cradle to grave through alls sorts of un-targetted subsidies.

Here, it is a matter of status above all: the ostentatious cars that leaders enjoy at public expense belie what they pontificate. They even change the cars after every few years, or are given the option to buy them at a nominal price when they retire.

Instead of burning fossil fuel when driving around, Malaysians should walk more or cycle to burn their body fat for healthy living. Driving cause more air pollution, drivers lack exercise leading to obesity.

What has the opposition contributed that is significant to our Nation and Rakyat since they lost the Rakyat’s mandate. The MOU? They like to gloat about it. It seems that they have received some money after the signing of the MOU. We the Rakyat have not heard about it. What did they do with it ? How did they spend it ? A Short History.

The political parties are not much interested in the NGO’s agenda otherwise by now they would have come knocking on your doors. They are however interested in how many guaranteed votes the NGO’s can bring to the table which the NGO’s have not said anything about to date. Most of our Rakyat do not benefit much from this SST for vehicles as the maintenance cost in terms of spare parts and labor is very high. Too many accidents and death on the roads. Too many vehicles on the road (10 million said the MSM recently) etc etc etc.

The Government may need to look into reducing vehicles ownership to just one or two per family. Start looking into Introducing other forms of transportation for the Rakyat, Green and Eco friendly. Focus should be Nationwide.

KUALA LUMPUR (June 1): DAP deputy secretary-general Liew Chin Tong said today that the government’s proposal to bring back GST amid a global inflation was “madness” – GST is regressive and a tax that kills the golden goose of consumption. The poor and low and middle-income families pay more GST as a proportion of their income than their richer counterparts.

Najib wanted GST to be implemented, this a ploy to let Rakyat revoke against Sabri. If Sabri is smart (so far we doubt his brain can function) to hang on to his PM seat, he should delay GE until both Bossku and deputy Zahid are convicted and sent to Sg Buluh Resort. Then Sabri can consolidate his position in Umno, whether his attire is Batik or Burberry or Valentino.

Failure of GST implementation last time was mainly because BN government is very late in disbursing GST rebate/refund – companies added cost to product/service to cover for losses.

RM20+ is RM10 ringgit more than it was in 2010. If in 2019 it was RM20+ in just 3 years it is RM45 for unsubsidized 5kg bottle and RM30 for subsided 5kg bottle. It is a local product, not sure why this is so.

Inflation is mainly due to the higher prices of chicken, eggs, cooking oil and fish and seafood in 2021 compared with the preceding year.

Cut down tbe demand to stabilize the prices?

Chicken and oil now expensive so dont blame price hike of KFC…just stop eating for 2 months.

How to administer chicken subsidy to B40? Likely to ‘channel’ so-called subsidy to the ‘connected ones’, not the needy when transparency is not available?

Next time give subsidy to the poor to buy fish, instead of giving subsidy to fishermen, using the same logic?

In business, services, education or whatever, government policies must be clear, just and (above all) not subject to abrupt changes. Remember that at one point during the lockdown when the condo owners from China wanted to return, it barred them. Yet, the whole world could see our so-called “VIPs” going everywhere within and outside the country.
