RM4.8BIL IN REVENUE LOSS FROM SST EXEMPTION By Bernama /

https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2022/06/16/malaysia-records-rm4-8bil-revenue-loss-from-sst-exemption-for-vehicle-purchases/
========
To be honest, the Government is not only paying for the use of fuel by the Rakyat, it is also paying for the purchase of their vehicles. The Government has gone above and beyond its Duty, Obligation and Responsibility in looking after the Rakyat on this issue. The Covid epidemic is almost over. The Rakyat appreciates and says thanks to the Ruling Government.
Cont. to F2
For a start, is there any penalty on vehicles of low efficiency? Even though rich people’s children can show off in them and pay for the fuel, the country loses foreign reserves.
A few years ago, we also got propaganda on efficient electrical appliances. What happened?
Alpha, the fuel is drilled from Malaysian waters. It belongs to rakyat. It os owned by rakyat .It is like Norway Oil. Belongs to Rakyat.
You say fuel belong to the Rakyat, its in Malaysian waters but you never say who is doing the drilling, costing, storage, costing, transportation, costing, processing, costing etc etc etc.
You sound more like those misguided Starbucks era, wet between the ears Uni students doing protesting.
you are misguided. if no oil, you want to drill? we have to buy oil like Sri Lanka
F2 == While the fuel subsidy is important to be maintained for now to avoid price increase across the board by the scrupulous business community who may be waiting to take advantage of it, the temporary exemption of SST duties for the cars may no longer be necessary. If the Rakyat can afford to buy a car am sure they can afford to pay for the one time SST duties. RM 4.8 billion is a lot of money that can be channeled to other areas of development for the Rakyat of which comes to mind the development of a proper National… Read more »
When private bus transport was serving us, there was no need for mega-projects. Under-regulation, interference in competition and (for low-traffic routes) lack of subsidies destroyed that system. I.e., destroy genuine privatisation for crony privatisation.
You know that the current Secretary General (AL) of DAP was the Transport Minister during PH governing our Nation. They were there for 22 months. Did he do anything about it. Can remember he introduced the use of tinted glasses for cars even though some enforcement authorities disagreed to it.
Was it a priority?
22 months expect miricles? MCA-BN is 65 years and expect things to be done. You go to all you can est and 2 hours, you can eat everything?
Rising costs of living & worsening Ringgit did not happen overnight. In fact it’s due to poor economic management by Umno-led Govt particularly the scandals & failed projects that cost billions to the nation. The only way to fight inflation & improve the economy is change the Govt.
Choice of government either UMNo dominant coalition, still fragmented but reviving Pakatan Harappan, dismantling Perikatan Nasional (with some key members flocking back to UMNo) and may be a East Malaysia coalition.
Anil what say you?
I think which ever coalition is vying for power, we should see to what extent they will commit to the 5 aspirations of the People’s Agenda, endorsed by 56 NGOs so far.
Mahathir says Pejuang is opening its doors for cooperation with Malay professionals and NGOs in facing the 15th General Election. Would the 56 NGOs that endorsed People’s Agenda embrace Pejuang?
Pejuang’s founder does not believe multicultural parties can work in Malaysia. This sounds like he is playing racial card although he always claims he is not racist.
He is working with near 100 Malay specific NGOs that may not subscribe to People’s Agenda aspiration.
https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2022/06/04/pejuang-open-for-cooperation-with-professionals-ngos-says-dr-m
By virtue of that, you can count it out to lead the multiracial nation.
Malaysia is being governed by a small group of elites comprising of the leader of the country’s biggest political party and a handful of council members and close advisers, major corporate owners, directors and high-ranking officers of the armed forces. They work and play together, employ one another, and marry into each other’s families.

People whom are elected and supposed to take care of the Rakyat….end up siphoning the Hard Earned Rakyat’s Tax Payers Money.
If you don’t take care of my back then I won’t and find away to track you.
All in the same boat siphoning, cheating and making money from the Rakyat’s Coffers which doesn’t belong or Earned by these individuals.
We Rakyat have to do our Best to catch all of them and put Behind the Bars.
People’s Agenda inclusive of abolition of racial apatheid policies while truly assist the underprivileged bumis?

Current batch of political leaders lack political wills to transform (rather than reform that for past 20 years remains a rhetoric) Malaysia and its time to let 40+ years old to take the lead with fresher ideas accomodating peoples wishes.
Don Obori controversy – Isnt religion supposed to help solve society problems like mat rempits, basikal lanjak, drugs , pornography, gangsterism, bullying in school etc etc , to name a few. How does the religious department justify the allocation spent on it in tackling these prevailing problem?Instead they are being a busybody policing what people should wear, should not wear, what social function they should or should not attend.
Sultan Selangor sees no issue with Don Obori. MB Selangor to go ahead with it.
Selangor’s Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has asked Religious Affairs Minister Idris Ahmad to attend the Bon Odori event in Shah Alam next week in order to differentiate culture and religion.
https://m.malaysiakini.com/news/624062
Can PAS differentiate Arab culture and Islam religion?
This has proven too all that PAS should never be allowed to rule. Give the chance they will want to turn the country into another Arab wannabe. Due to poor knowledge and lack of education, they could not tell the difference between culture and religion. Already PAS adopts Arabian culture wholesale even if they are not Islamic in nature.
His Highness said he had attended the celebration in 2016 accompanied by the Japanese Ambassador to Malaysia and saw that the festival did not involve religious ceremonies or rituals that could distort the faith of those witnessing it.
Yet PAS is not complying. Derhaka?
Sometimes it seems that PAS or Jakim has more religious power and influence …
Since Sultan of Selangor has not objected to Muslim attending the Bon Odori festival, all discussion and debate on this matter should be immediately stopped. If any members of JAIS and JAKIM continue to harp on this issue, it is disrespectful to the Sultan and will be seen as challenging the head of Islamic religion.
If they don’t “busybody”, they cannot (a) get support based on fear and hate (b) finish spending the budget.
Most malay NGOs are scared of Agenda Rakyat, the way they are scared of ICERD?
Probably so.
To infinity and begone – no Buzz in Malaysia

My circle of friends believe that any coalition of the opposition is just a fantasy because what’s the use of being in a coalition and your candidate is not selected for the GE. It’s an endless circus of wanting to unite yet for what reason. Every party with different agenda and aspiration wants power (YB and ministerial or GLC positions) and be counted in. Coalition may be possible only after the elections as seen in every GE, as seen in many countries today.
Ringgit slips to 4.42 versus US dollar, lowest since March 2020
https://www.malaymail.com/news/money/2022/06/14/ringgit-slips-to-442-versus-us-dollar-lowest-since-march-2020/12210
BN have 18 seats, but they talked like they are 81 seats big party. PAS is overrated and want to stay in Putrajaya as long as possible because it knows it won’t beccome federal gomen by winning election.
The bloated and oversized Keluarga Malaysia cabinet has no idea about their role and function as cabinet ministers. Cabinet positions are seen as rewards for politicians from the political coalition that form the ruling government of the day.
The cabinet must shrink its size and budget down considerably and re-allocate the fund to the state governments – for economic development.
HRH Sultan of Johor has just fired the first salvo.
In the Little Red Dot that must not be named, the ministers have class. They speak and act responsibly and competently. Each one may hold multiple portfilios and be the back-up (“Deputy”) to another minister. If anyone in the cabinet performs poorly, he gets the boot (I think the new PM-designate suffered demotion for a while). MPs perform their duties for their constituences every day, not just personal business and clubbing.
Highly placed sources told The Star that the Umno president Zahid and the Prime Minister Sabri have made a super-secretive deal that has been inked and witnessed by someone they both trust.
The pair has agreed in principle that 60%-70% of the Umno parliamentary candidates will be decided by PM Sabri.

Many critisized PH as poor performance in 22 months of governance. But the subsequent PN and now Burberry regime is really worst off causing barang naik of epic proportions! Ringgit is so weak (poor government is key reason) making imported food more unaffordable, no thanks to little focus on local farming – as though Malaysian youth can handle high tech and industrial jobs. We must think carefully and not simply vote in PN or BN in next GE!
Opposition parties need to set aside their differences and start working in unison in order to capture the youth voters in the upcoming general election, political analysts said.
A recent poll on youth voters showed that while 41% of young respondents were still undecided, BN however was the main choice of 15.5% of youths surveyed.

A BN-PN government run by clueless and incompetent ministers, are more interested in ‘chicken and eggs story than looking into price increase across the board.
Today, there are ‘fires’ everywhere! Yet all they can think of, is to play the ‘tongkat mentality’ game, give pittance subsidy to the B40, hoping to fish for their supports in the coming GE15.
It’s really pathetic the government has failed miserably to understand it’s the Rakyat, not only the B40, that makes the government of the day.
Our government debt has risen by RM320 billion, the ringgit’s value is plummeting, inflation is on the rise again, prices for food and consumer goods are climbing steeply, wages are declining, unemployment is high, and the rakyat is falling deeper into debt.
Despite this, we have yet to hear Zafrul articulate any viable fiscal policy to reverse these trends.

The way some of these people are talking, they give the impression that
they are living in a Sri Lanka like condition while happily enjoying 3 square meals a day.
We don’t have gas shortage issues for cooking or fuel problems for transportation, do we ? Food, yes, some but not all and overall, thanks to our government, we are still living a peaceful life with our belly full, aren’t we ?
Omega Man
You asked we produced petroluem but no shortage and not much increase. But why you ar gee and ar jo at OIL – cooking oil? we 2nd largest in world and yet shot through higher than Petronas Tower? Sink apor practically produce and grow nothing and yet they orso live even more peacefully??
A former Ultra Kirana Sdn Bhd (UKSB) administrative manager David Tan Siong Sun told the High Court here that he delivered a luggage bag containing RM3mil to Zahid Hamidi at the former deputy prime minister’s official residence in Putrajaya.
https://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2022/06/16/luggage-bag-with-rm3mil-cash-delivered-to-ahmad-zahid-says-witness
Omega, you talk as if we are living like Korea eating salmon fishes, wahyu beef, oysters and lobsters? MCA of course a towkay party with belly bosses
Politics and political leaders at Putrajaya had all gone bad. Much of the tax and other revenue collected from the rakyat goes to the lavishness of our political leaders, that is, the PM, many senior Ministers, busloads of deputies, excos, GLC chairs etc. All these guys take home big fat salaries (some even without working) allowance and other benefits. A huge bulk of tax and revenue also goes to paying the bloated civil service their salaries and pensions.
Retiring politicians like to create controversy in their autobiography, disclosing new stories (could be fabricated) in order to push sale for more money (to beat inflation?)

LLT should just keep his mouth shut, he should just spill his ‘best-kept secret’ to his family members.
” The only way to fight inflation & improve the economy is change the Govt. “
========
We did. In 2018. What good did that do ? How has the change in Govt. improved our economy ? Did our Ringgit improved ? etc etc and etc.
I think things will not be as bad if PH is still the government today.
If PH were the ruling government today what do you think they would have done better than the current government? They were there for 22 months, what do you think were their achievements better than the previous government?
Their achievement is that nations are full of taitors. It shows people are educated is okay to accept below table and change parties like chaning clothes.
You must also remember Nash, Pakatan Harapan lost all the by- elections during their 22 months of governance and the last one was the worst defeat. The Rakyat did not want them anymore then and the Rakyat still don’t, going by Pakatan Harapan’s performance in the recent by-elections. Why do you think this is so ?
You think you are cooking Maggi instant noodle? Cepat dimasak, sedap dimakan?
In politics, 22 months can only stabilize the economy to put it back on right track after half a century of damage. Before moving on new direction, Sheraton Move derailed it once again!
Please tell us what was done, this stabilizing of the nation economy during their 22 months and what right track is that ? What was their plan for the ‘new direction’ ?
Is it the 3rd national car or maybe, the flying car or is it the introduction of the black shoe policy to raise the standard our national education or tinted glass for cars because the weather was hot for driving.
Come Brocky, tell us what was their plan that was not Maggi instant noodle ?
Omega why you so blur?
Can you tell me what the PN or Burberry government has done for rakyat?
They cannot contain food price.
Inflation on the rise and Ringgit is free falling.
It was because of being blur, the questions were put forward. Instead of answering you repeat the questions, replacing it with the ruling government as the subject. If you are also just as blur just say so, we understand.
Everyone see but you dont see. You are blurr. There is no repeat of questions. PN or Burberry gomen cannot contain food price and inflation goes but $$$ fall. He is saying what has your Tai Lo done??
nether they can control of food. during covid pandemic, sea of whit flags and many rakyats are without. they never learn, many land used for housing and palm oil planation
Actually, Pakatan Harapan got ‘pushed’ out just as Covid-19 was coming in. But using Selangor and Penang Covid 19 scenario as an example, who knows the nation could have been in a worse situation if PH was governing.
All that you are saying shriek, all that could have been under PH watch.
PH was lucky.
Omega man, You are unable to tell pushed out by who? During Covid, you want to compare Selangor and Penang with Kelantan and Perlis? Why not compare with India and Brazil?
oh mega. we have your MCA-BN telling rakyat to drink air suam and they get good example by breaking covid rules
Unlucky PH was pushed out just before the Covid. We will not have air suam minister and many will not affected by the masjid gathering. There will be no white flags and everyone looking for FOOD if is PH gomen

Some people want to get ready for the elections. They are getting creative. That is why many lamposts look so overly artistic.
If one were to ask TNB to set up an extra lamp post with light in front of one’s house, ah think it cost around RM800. That’s what ah last heard. Not sure how much it cost now.

A developed and rich state Johor has complained – not happy with little federal funding.
If Sabri conceded to Sultan, what then will Kedah and Kelantan get? PAS will get and Umno to lose again in these poor states?
65 years we are developed and united country like Korea, Sink apor, HK? 65 years we are like Burma, Cambodia, Laos etc. Your time, our ringgit like bullock cart wheel. Now wheeless.
My time was good. There were no such thing profiteering or greed is good sloganeering by the business community. Your time now, it has become the opposite.
What your time and my time?
It is Keluarga Malaysia time!
Perhaps political elites get the most all the time!
Your time is good. Muhibbah and semua kawan. But after 60 years of MCA BN everything is worse with race and religion. We start the economical race at the same time with Sink apor, HK and Korea. China, Vietnam are having problems. Now they are ahead of us and we are now worse than Vietnam. We have to buy sampans from Vietnam
Omega support such wasteful expenditure. I think he could have been blurred by the light from such overpriced lampposts.
That is alright. Sometimes, being blur helps to get through this nasty world with nasty people…

Germany encourages public transport in view of rising fuel cost, only 9 Euro a month to move around.
https://youtu.be/ch0w71ovxbM
Because of heavily subsidised fuel, current patrol price does not hurt the Malaysian consumers’ pocket yet but for how long? It will soon be a burden to M40 household when subsidy strictly reserved for B40 once a new policy can be effectively implemented.
People in some developed countries including NZ cycle even in cold weather. This is because their governments are not taking care of them from cradle to grave through alls sorts of un-targetted subsidies.
Here, it is a matter of status above all: the ostentatious cars that leaders enjoy at public expense belie what they pontificate. They even change the cars after every few years, or are given the option to buy them at a nominal price when they retire.
Instead of burning fossil fuel when driving around, Malaysians should walk more or cycle to burn their body fat for healthy living. Driving cause more air pollution, drivers lack exercise leading to obesity.

DAP A VICTIM OF UMNO’S INTERNAL GE15 ROW, SAYS LOKE /

========
You started the narrative and found fault with PM. And when PM Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri replied by telling you your position and place, his position and prerogative, you get upset, give a silly reason and claim victim.
KUALA LUMPUR (June 1): DAP deputy secretary-general Liew Chin Tong said today that the government’s proposal to bring back GST amid a global inflation was “madness” – GST is regressive and a tax that kills the golden goose of consumption. The poor and low and middle-income families pay more GST as a proportion of their income than their richer counterparts.
Najib wanted GST to be implemented, this a ploy to let Rakyat revoke against Sabri. If Sabri is smart (so far we doubt his brain can function) to hang on to his PM seat, he should delay GE until both Bossku and deputy Zahid are convicted and sent to Sg Buluh Resort. Then Sabri can consolidate his position in Umno, whether his attire is Batik or Burberry or Valentino.
Did DAP deputy secretary-general Liew Chin Tong explain the difference between GST and the SST the opposition introduced when they governed our Nation? They spoke of price reduction, what do we have now ? The Palm Oil is at RM45 per 5kg bottle. It is a local product.
It may be due to domestic manipulation. It is a clear gross case of failed regulation.
Domestic manipulation? No wonder our high-salaried Ministers have to turun padang at markets to ‘pantau harga’ (enforce price control)?
Failure of GST implementation last time was mainly because BN government is very late in disbursing GST rebate/refund – companies added cost to product/service to cover for losses.
Omega man, how you explain why Indo world largest palm oil producer ban the export of palm oil? Why they ban export when they produce the most?
Why you not check with them? Maybe similar story with the chicken ban here. Young man, do some finger walking.
You should tell this to your mate Alpha 888? Why group of 888 and Alpha earlier ask this question? You should tell your mate to do finger walking too
your mca bn government implement gst. they implement gst without explanation?
Why so eager, you like GST very much? The Government is still thinking about it. They will let you know once they have decided whether to go ahead or not. Didn’t you read the news statement from PM and FM ?
Omega, since your MCA-BN gomen is still thinking so why so fast to questioned DAP must explain the difference between SST and GST? No nothing to do?
Palm cooking oil was RM20+ during Pakatan era but Keluarga Malaysia not able to maintain that price now.
RM20+ is RM10 ringgit more than it was in 2010. If in 2019 it was RM20+ in just 3 years it is RM45 for unsubsidized 5kg bottle and RM30 for subsided 5kg bottle. It is a local product, not sure why this is so.
Why you not check with them? Maybe similar story with the chicken ban here. Pek Moh, do some finger walking.
Let your finger do the walking. Your PM and MCA is sitting below you.
The MSM articles on GST each day seem to be a series. An earlier one said “economists” recommend it. Today, one said “we” hope it will be lower than 6%. This is softening up the polity for the pre-determined change.
Inflation is mainly due to the higher prices of chicken, eggs, cooking oil and fish and seafood in 2021 compared with the preceding year.
Cut down tbe demand to stabilize the prices?
Chicken and oil now expensive so dont blame price hike of KFC…just stop eating for 2 months.
How to administer chicken subsidy to B40? Likely to ‘channel’ so-called subsidy to the ‘connected ones’, not the needy when transparency is not available?
Next time give subsidy to the poor to buy fish, instead of giving subsidy to fishermen, using the same logic?
Targeted Fuel subsidy of RON95 for B40 is all talk as the authority does not know to to implement it.
Singapore petrol now almost S$4 (RM12) per litre, but Singapore registered vehicles can still get our subsidized RON95 by crossing the causeway since no enforcement in JB.

A lesson or wake up call for Penang southern Island project?
Remember many years back Penang Consumer Group did a survey on unoccupied condo units in Penang.
Now Aliran being more popular these days could do latest findings and not sure Aliran is doing so?

Forest City is now popular with Singapore golfers.
Residential and commercial aspects so far can be considered a flop. The insider report link above says it all.
If Penang Southern Islands follow the formula of Johor’s Forest City, then be aware of same consequences. Foremost is to create job opportunities then only local people can afford those new lifestyle activities planned for the artificial islands.
They inspire Penang Kias to reach higher goals. Not squatting in Love Lane rumah tumpangan or back packers. See quite a number of Penang Kias are doing better in Sink apor
3.2x S$ attraction: Penang Kias took one-way ticket to Sinkapor, forgo (& forget) the taste of Penang hawker food, remit money home to help our economy. Honourable Effort indeed!!!
Billed as the most useless megaproject in the world:
Have you ever been to the ‘Bandar Hantu’ (Ghost Town) in Forest City, Johor Bahru?
Marielle Descalsota—a reporter from Insider—had stayed at the megaproject Forest City for 3 days. She stated that the Forest City was considered a “Ghost Town” due to the current population of less than 5% with the latest report from 2019 claiming that there were only 500 inhabitants.

In business, services, education or whatever, government policies must be clear, just and (above all) not subject to abrupt changes. Remember that at one point during the lockdown when the condo owners from China wanted to return, it barred them. Yet, the whole world could see our so-called “VIPs” going everywhere within and outside the country.
Many lost interest in Forest City after realized that the proposed immigration link to Singapore is all marketing gimmick, will not happen since Singapore never agree.
TMJ has quit JDT management, to devote more time to rescue the Forest City project?
Moody’s downgrades Forest City’s parent Country Garden to ‘junk’ status

D1 == FORGET PEJUANG IF DR. M CAN’T ACCEPT ANWAR, SAYS GUAN ENG – By Chia Wan Rou / June 3, 2022 7:05 PM https://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/nation/2022/06/03/forget-pejuang-if-dr-m-cant-accept-anwar-says-guan-eng/ ======== Is there any difference from back then in 2018 and now, in the ‘who’s who’ of not so important people, lacking Integrity, in the make up of these Opposition parties. The Opposition coalition is still made up of the same political parties and politicians. As the ruling government in 2018, they could not get along, they were quarrelsome and finally in the end ‘stabbed’ each other in the back and lost the Rakyat’s mandate. Has… Read more »
D2 == The Opposition coalition also screwed the Rakyat good and proper by saying that the manifesto they sold to us Rakyat, just before GE14, was not cast in stone or written in Bible and therefore was not applicable anymore, after they won the election. Their, really really LAME EXCUSE was that they did not expect to win the 14th General Election. They also made some bad decisions. An example, the appointment of someone not suitable as the Opposition coalition leader. These are the very same Oppositions politicians, who are now still there, still quarreling with each other, still blaming… Read more »

Well now, at the same time, these very same politicians in the Opposition coalition are trying to convince the Rakyat, that they are a reliable and viable alternative to the current ruling government for the coming GE15. With such a Bad History about them, HOW ARE WE THE RAKYAT SUPPOSE TO TRUST THEM? CAN WE ? NO! SORRY, WE CAN’T.

Many are like worse than Syrians or Ukrainians seeking PROTECTION visa

You are looking at the picture upside down. This has nothing to do with our Government. It has to do with our Business Community.
As for the Protection Visa, you see how our motor vehicles drivers jumping queue and using the emergency lanes. Its the same, a bad habit well learned, can use it internationally also for the wrong reason.
Omega man, you read and think upside down. Penny Wong – a former Malaysian and now a rainbow group become Foreign Minister which is now possible with your MCA so kawan with PAS.
Further, many Putras are in Australia and seeking and applying for Protection Visa. Putras seeking protection….

An ex Marine tells how vicious and obnoxious the evil American regime was and is, spending decades fighting and killing millions of people to protect its dominance in the world, the Imperial American Empire. They want to dictate which country can be rich and which to be poor, and no country is allowed to be richer than them or be stronger than them. They will stop and prevent countries from doing so by all kinds of dirty and offensive means. They want to be the dominant and controlling power at all costs
On the positive side: if you raised this view or even mentioned capitalism about 15 years ago, your friends would have pitied you. Now, most USans are saying the same thing. They have discovered that they are among the intended victims.
A time will come when USans come to realise that Xi Jinping’s “Socialism with Chinese Characteristics” is superior to US Democracy/Capitalism – from the perspective of poverty eradication, safety from gun violence, racial discrimination, class divide, crimes, …
“Socialism with Chinese Characteristics” explained:
