A privately owned helicopter reportedly crashed at Sungai Merah Tua, Sebayau, 150km from Kuching this morning.
The German pilot of the helicopter, reportedly a Eurocopter EC 120, swam to shore first.
According to the Borneo Post, the helicopter belongs to Sebiro Holdings.
It added: “A search and rescue team has been despatched to the area to find the three passengers believed to be engineers. They were found to have survived the impact.”
Other reports, however, say the three are still missing.
The EC 120 is believed to be a single-turbine chopper often used for executive transport and training.
