ANWAR IBRAHIM OFFICIAL/FACEBOOK

One year after Anwar Ibrahim took over as Prime Minister, expectations have fallen.

Perhaps we have to be thankful his “unity government” has not collapsed to send the country into political turmoil again.

The bright side is the country is relatively stable, with no serious unrest on the streets.

Despite our RM1.5tn federal government debt, we are not bankrupt! Food prices have crept up, but we have no hyperinflation. Full article on Aliran website

Anwar is a big disappointment to say the least. He is all talk no action and the country is getting nowhere. … doesn’t keep his promise. His words carry no weight. He’s lucky that the Opposition is no better. His ministers are like him, incompetent and their concern for the Rakyat is negligible. How on earth can such people become ministers and be voted in to become leaders. Will the Rakyat ever wake up from the racial and religious stupor.

Sirul Azhar Umar, left Malaysia in late 2014 just before he was sentenced to death for the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu.

For almost a decade, he was held in detention in Australia, unable to be extradited because he faced execution. Now free, he’s speaking out for the first time:

Today the opposition does not provide anything constructive to provide any alternative solutions to help the economy. The opposition only make noise to instigate the Malay public on R&R matters with the hope of public revolt to justify another Sheraton outcome. How to expect PMX to quicken reforms when the bloated civil servants are reluctant to change and perceive any change as a threat to their privileged position? In the State of Penang for example, it is led by a PH/DAP leadership. Are there any tension and disharmony among different communities there.

There are so many of the majority group living in the urban areas now. The fear among certain politicians probably is that the majority urban community group might not vote for them but instead vote for those who are diligent in their work, their duties and responsibilities.

Some have a different agenda that does not include the Federal constitution, while some pick and choose what is said in the Federal constitution for their self interest while others only wish is to turn our wonderful ‘Multifaceted’
