The Sarawak Report has issued an apology and correction.
Apparently, the website had incorrectly reported the monthly income of Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud. See here.
The folks at Oxford University are obviously nonplussed by the Sarawak Report (if they have read it). They have honoured Taib by inviting him as a special speaker at a major event.
He is expected to deliver a special opening address at the inaugural two-day ‘Oxford Global Islamic Branding and Marketing Forum’, which will “bring together over 250 business and thought leaders to discuss and debate the opportunities and challenges ofĀ engaging the growing Muslim market”.
He will speak on ‘The role of Muslim nations in rebuilding todayās global economy’ on Monday, 26 July.
The other special address will be delivered by Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Deparment.
Have a look at the full programme on Oxford University’s Said Business School website here.

Please do not think highly of those Mat Salleh university. They also need moeny to pay their professors.
As faf as I know, Oxford has produced a clown i.e. somebody’s son-in-law.
Yes Gerakan K
Wait until the Oxford University students carry out a demonstration against him!
In the UK, they have real freedom of speech, you know.
I have to say Oxford is much more willing to associate themselves to (such) characters compared to Cambridge. It seems that to compete with Cambridge, the institution has desided that its acceptable to go down a lower road compared to their rival..
Hello,
Just to share this…

The real poser from Anil’s writing would be the fact that his income cannot support his lifestyle and holdings.
‘How to bleed your country to death and still keep your job’ must be one of the topics.
To all machais, pearl (iron) over there,
please grow up and stop any direct or indirect statement implicating Oxford University as BN’s crony or anything related to it.
Oxford University is the top university in the world and doesn’t need anything from BN.
Dear machais, keep your stupidity to yourself.
Oxford may be the top university, but sometime the top can also be blinded…
Remember a lawyer who was cheated by a not so educated … african in black paper money.
What subject is this (guy) going to dwell on… “How tall Sarawak timbers were transformed to privately owned tall buildings in New York city, Canada and London?”
The ‘global economy’ seems a bit like an all-you-can-eat buffet where fat people hold the forks and thin people are the food.
I thought this is the same person who said “I no speak English”. No?
No, that was Mat Taib of Selangor.
Wow! Taib Mahmud and Nor Mohd Yakob. I’m sure they have plenty to teach the audience … (wink, wink).
England, Australia, America, France, Germany – all these countries share the same value as Malaysia – money talks.
GREAT individual like TAIB MAHMUD deserve this INVITATION.
I’m sure all OXFORD graduates will agree to this, right???
