Malaysia Airlines makes emergency landing in Hong Kong after generator fails

The flight from KL to Seoul carrying 271 passengers had to make an emergency landing in Hong Kong last night after an electricity generator failed. Power for the Airbus 330-300continued to be supplied by an auxiliary power unit and the plane landed safely.

On Friday, another Malaysia Airlines plane ran into difficulty after hitting a flock of birds while landing at Kathmandu.
