MACC contacts Perak assembly member for Canning

Looks as if the MACC is having a busy time in Perak.

It’s now the turn of the Perak state assembly member for Canning, Wong Kah Woh of the DAP.  The MACC phoned  him yesterday afternoon to say it wants to record a statement from him. Kah Woh writes in his blog:

I just wonder if there is a need to do so, after having recorded statement with Speaker and the counsel (yes, the lawyer) Mr Augustine Anthony.

On my way to Kuala Kurau for a function at 6.00pm and i will be discussing with our panel lawyers on how to go about with MACC.

On a happier note, Blogger Jeffrey Chew has a great picture of the Democracy Tree here.

Najib will be the next PM, unfortunately, but there’s no avoiding it.

RAHMAN it is…The “N” at the end will be The Last UMNO “Emperor”.

I wonder what the law says about safeguarding ourselves against corrupt/illegal police and MACC investigations…

If the Macc officers wants to see him, let them see him.

Ask them first what is the purpose of the visit/interview. If they want to know anything that occurs in the Leg Assy or Committee or anything to do with it, tell them politely that they have no jurisdiction to enquire all these. Art 72 Fed Consti says so.

The Macc can only investigate if there is allegations that the Canning rep is involved in corruption. Beyond that, they have no business to investigate.

Better still go to crt and get a restraining order.

Three decades ago, it was using MSM and curbing on ceramahs as a vehicle to silence the opposition. Now the ruling ‘High and Mighty’ ruler is using more deadly weapons, the judiciary, police and MACC to continue their clinch on to power with little respect for the Federal Constitutions. UMNO-BN has not changed and unlikely to change. The moment their power is under threat, the ugly face surface from the murky waters. Democracy is dead, only in name. The newly symbol “TREE of DEMOCRACY” must have deeply irritated the untouchables, wounding their pride…let see if they are childish or arrogant… Read more »

UMNO is committing (political) suicide if they use gov agencies and police to harass political opponents.
