The API for Port Klang soared overnight to reach 352 at 7.00am while Banting recorded a similar rise to touch 316, according to the Department of the Environment, Malaysia.
The haze has been detected over fires in Central Sumatra and Peninsular Malaysia while clusters of hot spots are found in the northern Asean region, reports Meteorological Service Singapore.
