The richest Malaysians

15

How sad – the combined wealth of the 40 richest Malaysians has dropped by 7 per cent since last year.

But be happy. The Malaysian Business assures us, “On the bright side, there were 30 billionaires this year — three more than last year.”

You know, that’s very reassuring. Now I can sleep in peace. Not.

A couple of years ago, we were even told that Malaysia had the most billionaires in Southeast Asia – as if that is something to be proud of.

Here’s a familiar cast of characters. But I suspect that there are a couple of politicians missing from this list who could well qualify to be included.

(A couple of politicians should be) on the list but cunningly their … LOOT from the Malaysian public … and other vast busineses (could be) hidden in cronies & overseas accounts.
MACC should investigate … how they and their sons & families & cronies have all become billionaires based on their politicians salaries.

How could Tun Dr. M, Tun Daim and Taib be off the radar? Just imagine making tons of $ yet make NEP look wanting.

Mokhzani at lucky 13 with his Kencana Petroleum don’t need his father’s Petronas Petroleum help to become billionaire ?
Usahawan Bumi especially those from his hometown Pekan Rabu should learn from him how to become rich and drive fancy cars.

Mokhzani should write a book titled:
Politician Dad, Super-Rich Son.
Kiyosaki will have to revise his wealth strategy to short cut to super wealth strategies for the richie wannabes.

Anil,

“How sad“ Shouldn`t you feel more sad for the people who have been beset by the rising cost of living brought about by the corrupted AMMO Barang Naik govt.

I wonder why Robert Kuok still considered to be a Malaysian.. Most of his money and assets are out of the country, mostly in Hong Kong and China. This has to thanks to Mahathir (allegedly) kicking him out and made him to make his billions outside Malaysia.

Actually the list is really bad news to all poor chinese in Malaysia, because BN can continue NEP with the excuse that the chinese people are rich.

No point to flaunt their wealth, why not showing us their philanthropy effort (if any at all) to help the needy? Do yu have details, Anil?

What do you mean by baseless accusation!!!. It is a fact that Taib own several listed companies that got its land and timber timbers concession from the government. Beside many govt business were also given to his companies. Are just just plain ignorant or just a fool. LGE and the Exco has already declared their asset. Ask Taik and Najib to do so. Dare they ?????

Haha anil, the richest Malaysian only got RM 45,700.00 ??? The market value for one of my shop now easily more than that !!!

BTW, I never envy such people in the list because in reality you don’t need that much of money !!! It is more than enough to have few millions cash in bank earning interests. So, be a happy man with what you got now !!! Enjoy your life rather than worrying how to maintain your top 10 ranking ~
