Public Bank’s anniversary celebration

Successful bank – but celebrations a little over the top, if you ask me.

No doubt he worked hard to build up the bank.

But makes me feel ‘geli‘ just watching this.

And what’s with those ‘police’ outriders?

l think he deserved the ‘hollywood’ style celebration. If not he will be condemned “aiyo billionaire so kedekut – so cheapskate etc”. At least he has 45 yrs of work to show and earn this. Not like some who splash lavishly on wedding ceremony but few years down the road, its’ splitville or scandals etc.
But personally the planner shld hv made it more glamorous and not tacky.

I am reading your comment with a magnifying plastic glass made in China. Read many big banker’s egos in between the lines!

Cheap PR stunt to impress… who? ego? I think Tan Sri’s managers were all out impress only the old man la not you guys… haha… never mind how ridiculous he looks or what you people think la — afterall, you don’t decide on their pay rise. Wonder if the old man has a say in this splash at all… Big sigh, what a waste, surely, he would go down in history better if he would dish out all that money for some decent community work instead. Perhaps, turn his staff into real people too — wonder how much his clerks… Read more »

After this showmanship, his No.2 (right hand man) is already fantasizing a launch into space in a real flying saucer with the Reptilians singing Independence Day! And giving a banker’s historical speech … broadcast live from the cockpit!
Hail Public Bank.

Is this the whale guy recently in London….and the chap who wanted to buy up University Malaya…

Sometimes you wonder, bankers make money even during rainy days and at whose expence….is it our banking practices..? The majority in this country live in a very very less then middle class environment even after 50 years of independance…

Malaysia should not have created monopolies in banking….you just shut off the little guy out there trying to make ends meet….

Gosh! ‘geli’ it is, looks silly and I agree with you, Anil!

Their event planners should have thought of Tan Sri Teh Hong Piow in a superman suit and fly into the hall to make a grand entrance! 😀

WHY DISTURB TEH? THAT IS HIS MONEY AND HIS HARD EARNED MONEY. AT LEAST HE IS NOT USING TAX MONEY LIKE THE UMNO POLITICIANS TO HAVE 10 WIVES, PALACES AND CARS… I RESPECT TEH FOR HIS SUCCESS AND HE HAVE ALL THE RIGHTS TO CELEBRATE. EVEN MORE THAN THIS. DON’T BE JEALOUS. JUST SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND LOOK AT YOUR CORRUPTED POLITICIANS WHO ARE SELLING THE COUNTRY TO INDON VOTERS

Still it is too much of an overdone showmanship!
What are those … hand salutes in sequence with landing flying saucer?
Big man got big bank birthday ego.
Anyway it is his ‘hard-earned’ money from profitable parked monies earning pittance interest rate for simpleton folks, who are now sweating their brows and bleeding their fingers earning whatever to keep going on in life of the unequals.

Aisay – be fair to Teh. Its the Event Manager who contracted this anniversary-do and they went overboard. If you will observe the old boy – he was infact ‘frozen’. See his handclapping, body-posture…… duh, he must be squirming

If you leave things to event organizers that’s what you get for your money’s worth. They sure know who’s paying for all that stuff
