It is a shame that anyone would even consider ruining the Georgetown Heritage site with the view of a modern hotel. The popularity of Georgetown is evident by its presence in most travel guides like Georgetown Heritage where they gave it high ratings in exceptional examples of multicultural trading towns permeated with many layers of history and as living testimony to cultural and religious diversity reflected in multicultural living heritage. With such things being said about it like this i cant imagine anyone even entertaining the idea of destroying it.

What an ugly building. Looks more like low cost flats. At least come out with design that can blend with GPO building. LGS government should look at enhancing some of the current building laws with the view to protect heritage sites and buildings. New buildings and infrastructures must blend in with existing ones and must be friendly with people.
