Motorists in rush-hour traffic this evening from 5.30 to 6.15 had something else to chew on – a protest by a multi-ethnic group of Penang residents concerned about plans for massive land reclamation and mega highways which will ruin the environment.
This time the group were joined by the fishermen of Tanjung Tokong, who complained that reclamation has led to a declining catch. What will happened when even more reclamation is carried out in Penang?
And how safe will all those highways on the hills be, including during construction?
It is still not too late to put a stop to this outlandish RM46bn land reclamation and property development scheme.

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asia/malaysia-high-education-loans-repayment-ptptn-11316048
Do not burden the nation producing jobless graduates eith irrelevant skills not needed by thd industry. Civil service cannot continue to absorb those jobless graduates. Should promote TVET education, though less glamorous than university education, but can secure them jobs and not to foever dependent on foreign labour if you wsnt to continue to push for higher wages.
One of the vexing, discriminative problems of our higher education policies is to ‘control’ non-bumi talents who are far better qualified from taking courses of their own choices & passions. Setting higher GPA to qualify creates barrier with double standards to study courses of their own choosing & passion. Another is the Matriculation Course of easy entry to local unis reserved for majority you know who lah. This left many non-bumi talents who have no choice but to study in private unis & colleges or have to forgo their dreams & work instead. If I have a choice to employ… Read more »

Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad on Tuesday announced that the stretch of road along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman will temporarily be closed to traffic on weekends and public holidays beginning April 1.
He said the partial road closure is part of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s (DBKL) River of Life project.

Penang should do likewise to close the heritage zone to traffic on weekends.
Why rush hour? Why all the rushing? Pg forum don’t see the roads are narrow and cars are more. That is why they rush. If roads are wider and if pg forum uses less cars then no need to rush. Am I spinning or logic follow continuity flow?
when people coming back from a hard day’s work, enduring traffic jam, hungry and tired, all trying hard to earn a living..these no job rich folk gather to play cards…..
