Even as 1MDB struggles to repay its debts, a vigil is taking place at Sungai Buloh Prison to express solidarity with Anwar Ibrahim. At this rate, he could turn into a Mandela-like figure in no time. He has already been in jail/detention for eight years: two years in the 1970s and six years since 1998. Now, another five years.

1MDB must disclose the full terms of the amount borrowed from tycoon Ananda Krishnan, following the announcement that the company had settled the RM2 billion loan with banks.

But we know 1MDB has never been transparent.

Just let them enjoy while they can after all its holiday season with CNY next week. Pakatan without Anwar will soon go into oblivion. They will soon fade away.

There is an issue that bugs me that no one has followed through on the whole 1MDB even the NY Times article did not run down this road. Those who knows Putrajaya and Najib personally knows that in all likelihood the connected tissue on 1MDB is Rosmah. The facts of the NY times article confirms it and it explains everything EVEN Mahathir’s opposition to it – he never liked her, always thought she was his greatest problem.

But no one has followed up on it especially the left-wing journalists? So dissapointing..

The American newspaper also reported that it had obtained invoices and other documents showing millions of dollars in jewellery – diamond and emerald rings, and diamond, emerald and ruby bracelets – ordered for Rosmah… Read more »
