We are still a long way from separating religion from politics.
The western democracy has separated the state from the church. That is why the media view religion as an idea or concept that could be a subject of satire. The French constitution makes it clear that no religious practices should supercede democracy and human rights.
Clash of civilization is imminent as some radical groups could not integrate with the modern progressive society.
Sad to see that religion is used as an excuse by certain groups to supress human rights.
