One Billion Rising – Stop the violence against women, children

About 60 volunteers from various Penang-based groups including Women’s Centre for Change (WCC) and the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA), performed a flash mob dance at Gurney Plaza to call for an end to violence against women and children.

Their effort was in solidarity with similar flash mobs around the world on Valentine’s Day as part of a global One Billion Rising campaign to stop violence.

Other held placards in support of the campaign to end the violence.
