God, oil and empire: Behind the US-Israel war on Iran

Picture the scene: a group of about 20 Christian pastors at the Oval Office, a couple of them with their hands placed on Donald Trump’s shoulders, praying for him during the second week of the US-Israel war on Iran.

As Trump closed his eyes and clasped his hands, the pastors prayed for “wisdom from heaven to flood his heart, his mind” and for divine protection for the president and his troops.

Now, how does that square with the suffering of millions of ordinary people affected by the disastrous ongoing war. Think of the 168 (including about 110 children) who lost their lives in an air strike on their primary school in Iran.

US–Israeli attacks on Iran have killed almost 2,000 people (including hundreds of women and children), injured 25,000, and displaced over 3.2 million from their homes. The strikes started during the fasting month of Ramadan and carried on over the Eid al-Fitr festivities. In retaliation, Iran fired drones and missiles, killing about 28 people and injuring over 5,000 in Israel.

Hundreds of millions of people around the world have been hit by price hikes and shortages arising from this unnecessary war of choice.

This is not the Christianity of the Gospels. It couldn’t be further removed from Jesus’ Beatitudes, the charter of his teachings: “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God” and blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness (justice)…

Israel’s vision of second coming not likely being endorsed by the Vatican.
The land of Israel and the ambition of Greater Israel are western empire interference, and karma time is realizing?

Pope Leo XIV has strongly reiterated the Vatican’s position that God does not justify war, described Jesus as the “King of Peace” who rejects wars and that faith should never be used to legitimize violence. In his Palm Sunday address on March 29, 2026, the Pope condemned leaders who cite God while engaging in conflict, declaring that God “rejects the prayers” of those with “hands full of blood”.

Because they pay road tax, they think they have the right of way over the pedestrians?

Pastor Steve Cioccolanti, an Australian-based pastor of Thai-Australian descent known for his YouTube ministry and support of Donald Trump, has had recent interactions and planned visits to Malaysia (2024–2025). While he is a popular prophetic teacher with over 70 million YouTube views, his controversial reputation stems from his close alignment with American political-prophetic narratives, specifically regarding Donald Trump and “End Times” prophecy.

We need religion that promotes peace, no killings or war.

For the delusional Emperor, this video is just another reality show. Your disagreement or disgust does not matter. The show is a routine effort to boost political support, at public cost.

In the Empire, almost anything becomes a matter of popular support (“ratings”) or propaganda. Purportedly, surveys determine support. In reality, very big money determines everything.

For its bloodthirsty barbarity throughout its existence, the Empire deserves such a leader with the IQ, EQ and vocabulary of a 10-year-old.
