politics is always dirty anil. Normal democracy loving citizens never go over to these tensions areas. most of them are paid thugs. when orders given to them they will uphold the the particular party flags and u can see in tmrw main stream papers ….so and so party supporters r disrespecting….this la that la….
Where is the rule of law and respect for the constitution when a secretary can unilaterally disallow the sitting of the state assembly and in fact closing down the assembly building? The people are not blind or stupid , people can see that this is the classic big bullying tactic of resorting to force and coercion when there is a lack of legitimate means. It is a last ditch desperate attempt to cling on to power at all costs by the BN government.
I am in Perth and I am following the news on Perak elections.
I have never heard of Malaysia going through so much problems
in all my years living there. I hope things will be sorted out
as I have travelled all over and also lived overseas, Malaysia
will still be my home. I is a beautiful country to live
With tears in my eyes, I am on my bended knee, parying to God to bless all these people with fair eyes and moral hearts to respect the rights and wishes of Perakians.
Can anyone advise me,because I am not good at law.
Is it necessary for the PM (in case of Parliament) and MB/CM (for States Assembly) to obtain consent from the King or Sultans to call for meeting?
Or, is it for courtesy, just to advise or notify the King or sultans that meeting is ti be held?
I remember, after the admendment of the constitution years ago, for bills passed by Parliament, and if the King does not or refuse to sign, after v21 days notice given, it is consider as approved and be gazetted.
As for meeting to be held, can this method be applied. The King or sultan does not or refuse to give “consent”, after 21 days notice given, the Speaker can proceed to call for a meeting?
The Speaker has just announced that he will be holding the sitting of the State Assembly about 50 metres from the entrance in an open space near a couple of trees.
“The Speaker has just announced that he will be holding the sitting of the State Assembly about 50 metres from the entrance in an open space near a couple of trees.”
Absolutely brilliant move. Now what they gonna do? Use water cannon against the state assembly? Wouldn’t that be tampering with the sitting of the assembly? Hah the ball is on their court now!
Hahaha, once again we should appreciate the stupidity of BN government officials. This is great opportunity to embarrass them more……..not that they have not embarrassed themselves bad enough.
The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government — HIDUP RAKYAT!!

This is history in the making!
Speaker reconvenes state assembly under a tree! (I would have preferred in a coffeeshop or beside the Perak river, more symbolic like that
)
How I wish I was there!

The Perak case is not a complicated constitutional crisis. It is a simple case of corruption.
The crisis would not have happened if Malaysia has a truly independent anti-corruption commission like the ICAC of Hong Kong.
The newly formed MACC has turned out to be a political stooge of BN, answerable to Umno only.
