Interfaith effort to help overstretched hospitals

Earlier today, a good friend of mine texted me: “Really very sad to see the situation in hospitals … It’s seriously scary!!! I cry for my country.”

Next thing you know, I stumbled on this heart-warming video of #kitajagakita at its best: ordinary people setting aside their differences to rally together and rise to the occasion. This is Malaysia at its best.

They deserve our help and support.

The government has let us down with their dismal handling of the pandemic while jostling for power. Now ordinary people must step up and make the difference.

Please help to support this blog if you can.

Great effort by the people. While we are fed up with the federal government, we have our state government pushing reclamation projects quietly. Must stop this project at all cost, Malaysian politicians easily bought, see how many frogs you know. They rise to power, corrupt, then jump to the winning side. (repeat)

Teh susu can do better. Stopping Covid 19 less important than stopping work? Better to have corrupt mind cannot be charged but corrupt in doing can be caught by MACC. Anyone on the other side corrupt in doing caught by MACC?

I mean Najib is convicted but idk about the criminal proceedings. What I know is that a businessman met LGE secretly midnight in his corruption case. (As foretold by the witness)

And you wonder whether or not the reclamation plan held south of the island has got to do with corruption, they are so keen on it despite it gives Penangites zero benefits.

Maybe LGE should jump ship like ex-PKR deputy president, we should not elect (such) politician, LGE should be shipped back to Melaka.

Power hungry politicians of all ends are supposed to be the servants to the rakyat who elect them.

Come next GE15 the people should know who can ne trusted to serve the country. “Prune” those nonsense away from public service.

Today, on the matter of infections among staff at a vaccination centre, FMT quoted a minister as saying:
“The RT-PCR test results showed that all those who tested positive had a CT (Cycle Threshold) value of over 35, meaning that they had a low viral load”. What does this mean? Were the labs told to keep increasing the CT until the result is positive? Is that why cases are rising?

The Hartal Doktor Kontrak group says doctors are giving 24-hour notices, seemingly after being burnt out and frustrated at the lack of career opportunities.

A social media campaign, Hartal Doktor Kontrak has called for contract doctors to go on strike on July 26 if the government fails to resolve the issue of their permanent placement.

As Teh susu said, we can do better. In fact we do better as we manufacture so many graduate doctors just in time for Covid 19. We have man but no power – beds, ventilators and hospitals

Video of Malaysian medical frontliners sharing their plight in fighting Covid-19 goes viral

https://youtu.be/8E3Smk06MJo

The anonymous voices, which were said to have been tweaked to obscure their identities, purportedly shed light on what it is really like to handle the health crisis in overloaded hospitals like those in Klang Valley, including overwhelmed and stressed out workers suffering from burnout as well as manpower and equipment shortage.

KJ must provide a comprehensive reason why Kelantan is allowed to switch vaccine from Sinovac to Pfizer, whereas all other states do not have such privilege. KJ owes a duty to come clear and tell the truth.

As Malaysia deals with its most serious outbreak of COVID-19, the healthcare system is at risk of collapse. Many young doctors are suffering from burnout, some have been infected by the virus, while others fear for their jobs when the pandemic is over.

Yes, very good comment. You boleh standard PN tripod and satay man. Who pay tax to state govenments? Pay tax to federal government, so should KBKB at them. Polar ice melting – Germany should blame Russia, Canada no one to blame for South pole? PN tripods and satay man – p brain. try to be smarter than Dr Jomo economist and climate experts who gathered in Paris for WORLD Climate conference. Not like the usual katak kampong conference.
