Malaysia is going through a phase exactly like India. When the Indians changed their govt for the 1st time after having been under the Congress Party for 30+ years to the Janata Party, there was a lot of resistance from their civil servants to do work. Likewise, the people expected the Janata Party to do miracles and expected too much of them. Within 2 years, the new Janata govt fell and reverted back to the Indian Congress govt through new elections. Looks like Malaysia will follow suit.
When any authority – political, religious, etc. – condemns a person or community, or acts overly offended, we should be wary. Consider their track record over 6 decades. When people were starving in the 2020 lockdown and starving/trapped in the 2021 floods, it was ordinary volunteers and a few MPs who helped.
