The post below is from Hadi Awang’s Facebook about a visit by a Pas delegation, led by Hadi, to the St Columba Anglican Church in Miri in October 2015.

If cannot think in rational way, how to progress? If continue to rely on handouts and subsidies, how to become self-sufficient? We are still in third world mentality, difficult to progress, although 2020 has long passed us.

Joni Mitchell lived in Laurel Canyon, which is a section of Los Angeles, when she wrote this song in 1969 (that’s the reference in the album title). At the time, big news in California was the battle to save the redwood forests, which were threatened by developers eager to cut down the trees to build shopping centers and other amenities. As Mitchell implies in this song, this could lead to trees someday becoming something you could only see in a museum.

Behind the Knock-Down Sale of Iskandar Malaysia Studios, Johor

https://variety.com/2023/film/news/sale-of-iskandar-malaysia-studios-1235575477/amp/

Sold at a loss of more than $100 million to GHY Culture & Media, a Singaporean company specializing in Chinese-language content.

When IMS opened in 2014, local and trade reports announced that the facility had required an investment of $120-$170 million. Even using the lower construction cost figure, the devaluation of an asset from $120 million to $7.3 million represents a more than 90% destruction of shareholders’ value in the eight years since IMS opened.

Do you think your state government can understand this, ” The predecessors plant the tree, the descendants cool off in the shade.”

Alpha, Your salvia is more than water to make chai. Now the water to make chai is getting less. Rather than talk and talk, do something to save penaNG from drought

Go back and read all the comments and suggestion given on the Penang water issue in 2022. Its the same issue. That was when PM9 was governing and read his replies to the water issue. The Penang state was in the Opposition then.

Now, you have the PH unity government in charge with a 2/3 majority. Penang state government no more in black and white. Must has moved to Shades of Grey. Must be looking at some bigger picture too.

Now water reserve at 50% also no noise made to the federal.

alph 888, even if penang kias have all the water, you use them as if is your grannie’s You as a senior dont always kbkb. Teach the youngs to save and conserve. Teach them not to waste water even we have abundant. There is a climate change and a no of places are experiencing drought. Even the mighty Chiang Jiang tricle and the hydro power stop working. Penang kias use plenty of water whereas Kedahans and Perakians use less and you expect them to give Alpha 888 more H2O?

GEORGE TOWN: Nearly 1,000 residents of two posh condominiums in Tanjung Bungah here are demanding the Penang government to fulfil its promise of a seaside pocket park behind their properties.

The residents claimed former chief minister Lim Guan Eng had officiated the launch of the seaside pocket park, a month ahead of the 14th general election, back in 2018.

Yes, good at making promises only. Follow up poor. Just give excuses. Wonder if the same thing will happen to the people effected by the reclamation projects. Also what is happening to Gurney Drive and the stretch from Gurney to Batu Ferringhi ?

Maybe, this time you people should just reduce the 2/3 majority or change as 15 years is way too long to stay.

Senior wise man, what tell the gomen what to do as the developer have no ringgit and sen? Well do families can live in condo with all the facilities. They want more compare to so many poor rakyat living in public housing? They should take care is some house owners are behind or cant pay monthly strata fees

You dreaming or what? What has MCA got to do with this issue? The Home Ministry (DSH) under the previous PN government proposed this policy and another which was the reduction of foreign workers. Both of which are good policies had no issues with it.

Step in unity government 2023 and see how messy their reversed foreign workers policy has become.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today again accused his political rivals of profiting from the back of poor Malays, saying they pocketed billions of ringgit in wealth when in power but never shared them with the people despite claiming to champion Malay rights.

Anwar suggested that these politicians use Malay rights merely as political expediency, and named Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and close ally Tun Daim Zainuddin.
