The case involving the Catholic Herald weekly’s usage of the term “Allah” was heard in chambers today.

A string of ‘interveners’ – mostly state Islamic religious councils and the Malaysian Gurdwara Council – filed their applications to be co-respondents in the case. The hearing was fixed for 17 July.

In the meantime, the Herald is restrained from using the term Allah.

…..er…..just wondering if anyone from the litigation-hasty religious political sectors has thought of consulting God/Tuhan aka Allah aka Jehovah aka the Lord aka Brahman aka to infinity and beyond and back whether this omnipotent God/Tuhan known by an infinite number of names minds what any one of his children here on earth chooses to call/address God as?

Regrettably, in my (pompous/incorrect or not) view, stupidity and wasting one’s resources on farce and irrelevance seems to be stubbornly alive and kicking no matter what level of progress the human race makes.
