Malaysia has not learned anything after over 60 years of affirmative actions for the majority race…. Affirmative action was put in place … make a segment of the majority race filthy rich dynasties. The rest of them are just brain washed and led to live in mediocrity. Be honest about it. From the onset of Independence, we should have always placed meritocracy above all. Only then could we have attained similar status like Singapore and Indonesia. Religion should never have had a place in education, business, and progress. Today we have a workforce that is not competitive, education that stinks… Read more »

A recent study by the Malaysian authorities found that about two-thirds of Malaysians living and working in Singapore earn a gross salary of between S$1,500 and S$3,599.

And about three-quarters of them were skilled or semi-skilled, with the highest earner drawing a gross monthly salary of S$18,000.

Malaysian authorities flagged a “brain drain” as a concern for the nation, and urged a push to ensure Malaysians return to their homeland after work experience abroad.

Malaysian workforce must be willing to be re-skilled to remain relevant – think of new start-ups and be more innovative in search for newer and more cost-effective solutions. Instead of paying attention to the regressive politics played by politicians who are campaigning against bak kut teh and vernacular education, we should focus on exploiting our strengths in our diversity.

Singaporean employers looking to hire roti canai, or roti prata, chefs have set their sights across the Causeway — and it seems like they are willing to pay to bring home the dough.

An ad for a roti canai maker was placed in the New Straits Times (NST) on Monday (April 22), offering a salary of RM5,000 (S$1,425) for that position. It also stated that a prayer room, accommodation and meals will be provided.

Why is having another casino in Forest City considered a negative? If so, Anwar should ask Genting to close their casino.
This government should just follow Singapore on how to run casinos.
The Muslims are not allowed entry, the locals have to pay a large entry fee, the Singaporeans will come and the government will get a hefty income from the taxes paid.
So what is the issue?

Singapore is more towards looking after the well being of their Rakyat by coming up with innovative ideas which are practical and needed.

Penang is mostly about ego boosting Mega projects even though they have no or very little funds for it. They most times talk without thinking ahead.

Just look at the recent Gurney wharf project, so many complains on its construction standards. Isn’t it the same with the many housing projects that have cracks and water leakages, etc etc etc.

It is more than fear. It is also hypocrisy, hatred, patriarchy, subversion of democracy through dogma, and rampant oligarchy. It is very unlikely that we will learn anything from our neighbour. As someone joked earlier, the entire government can be privatised. But we know very well how anything, that is even obviously beneficial, can be sabotaged as a “sensitive” issue.

Our Electorates or Rakyat are not clueless. In fact, they are becoming more and more smarter. They have also become more together regardless of who they are. This actually scares most of the 2R politicians. So, these politicians are now working overtime on their favorite subject.

Clueless supporters and followers are those who are supporting these 2R type of politicians and those self interest political parties who advocate and follow the ” toe the party line and party policies.”

“‘Are you drunk?’, Umno youth chief chides Ramasamy for racial polarisation comment” by By Hazween Hassan – March 11, 2024 @ 10:22am https://www.nst.com.my/news/politics/2024/03/1024027/are-you-drunk-umno-youth-chief-chides-ramasamy-racial-polarisation ======== Is the question “Are you drunk?” a form of racial profiling? This is coming from someone who claims to advocate for national unity. Is their desire for national unity genuine or simply just pretense? It is undeniable that politicians themselves are the main barrier to achieving national unity, despite claiming to support it. They are often hypocritical in their actions. Education is knowledge. Education is key to progress. The value of education does not diminish when delivered in… Read more »

R&D?
You think so simple to create the ecosystem?
Do we have the competency and know how?
Our education system does not promote creative thinking. Good graduates are now in Singapore where meritocracy is practised.

When you say “you think so…,” it suggests that I am proposing to create ecosystems, which I did not intend to, as it is a natural part of the creative system.

I am mentioning ecosystems in a cynical manner, echoing the words of political leaders. As for ‘R&D?”, it is simply a question mark for me, and I am unsure of what that question means to you.

Innovation and inventions rely on research and development, so it is essential to have a strong R&D foundation.

Yes, this will be so. But despite having about 4 to 5 ministries related to economics, 2 so called committee of economic advisers to finance ministry,
this is the best PHUG can come up with.

Am wondering if IMF have a hand in all this. This is usually their signature trade when solving economic issues.

One country’s loss is another country’s gain. Clearly, Singapore and other foreign countries are benefiting from this brain drain. Reason why we are still stagnant or moving forward slower than a snail’s pace.

This, just one among many other reasons.

If one does a simulation with all the available data past and present and get to see the ‘trajectory’ of its outcome, one will get an idea of when it will reach the dire level, if they continue with the present trend.

Are they smart and brave enough to arrest it, starting ‘yesterday’? There is a saying, “Sendiri buat Sendiri Tanggung” lah or “Berani Berbuat, Berani Bertanggung Jawab “. Do not point the fingers at us Rakyat. Maybe can at their clueless supporters.

It is definitely wrong to call this entrepreneurship. But it is deliberately used to deceive the public and hide the matter, which is handout.

Nowadays, court clusters seem to express a desire to make representations to the Attorney-General’s Chambers. So, what does making representations to the Attorney-General’s Chambers entail? For those with influence, it means circumventing the court process, meeting directly with the AG, and presenting their case. The AG holds the authority to determine whether to proceed with a case or dismiss it. Some individuals in positions of power may attempt to sway the decision-making of the Attorney-General’s Chambers through various means. In the past, the AG has been known to make decisions without providing any justification, citing legal parameters. This trend appears… Read more »

Therefore is up to the rakyat as who they want the PM or CM to be through the Parliament or Lego and rubber stamp by the ruler. But as to the religion it is looked after by the rulers or king. If anyone wants to use religion in politics, then the ruler or king must act as he is the custodian. Correct me if I am wrong.
