Reformati? ‘SteadyAku47’ Hussein Hamid’s last words should stir us to action

Days after the Pardons Board decision on Najib was announced, a neighbour sent me a message that reeked of frustration:

“Top Members of Suaram, Bersih, LFL, Aliran etc, should form a 3rd Force party for next GE. Still have 4 years & there must be at least 200+ genuinely good people in the country.”

Hours later, on second thoughts, he sent me another message:

“Sometimes gotta be careful for what we wish for. On further thinking, will a 3rd Force genuinely help or worse scenario, split the votes resulting in PAS majority (our worst fear)? Maybe better if we strongly demand a NEW fresh face action oriented PM, without any baggage or suspect background? Similarly, there must a few from current/Ex-MPs or a completely new Messiah??”

Vernacular schools MUST stay.

Both Tamil and Mandarin are very old languages and it is advantageous for Malaysia to maintain vernacular schools. Tamil is the mother of all languages. It dates back to more than 5000 years and is the oldest language and has the most ancient literature.
Mandarin is the official language of the earth’s most populous country and that it’s the world’s most widely used language. Currently Mandarin is spoken by over 1 billion people around the world, about one fifth of the global population and it is increasing.

The desire for their children to learn Mandarin, combined with the comprehensive facilities provided by vernacular schools such as air-conditioned halls, better classrooms, and modern equipment such as smart TVs, has led to an increase in the number of Malay parents enrolling their children.

THERE will be no racial discrimination for admissions when the free tertiary education scheme commences in state-owned universities in 2026.

The Star reported Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg as saying that the only criterion would be for students to meet the academic requirements for admission.

The vernacular school system is doing a good job. Even thousands of Malays who care for their childrens future send their children to the vernacular schools.

So it clearly shows that the national school system have been compromised. Compromised of its education syallabus, compromised of its teaching standards, compromised of its disciplne towards the student, compromised even of the education that is taught to the students.

It’s time for Malaysia to get politics and religion out of national schools. Politics and religion are both the scourge of degradation.
Both mutate the development of a good education. Both teach only half truths and in Malaysian national schools no truths. Look at the products of our national schools. They don’t reflect a multicultural society nor do they possess any knowledge of the plural society they live in. They are introverts with no confidence to speak.

Get the Ministry of Home Affairs out of migrant workers recruitment in Malaysia, leave it with the Ministry of Human Resources, as an earlier report recommended. No retired personnel of both the MOHA and MOHR should be allowed to be involved in any migrant workers recruitment, upon retirement. Cut the corruption in the system. Provide good controlled hostels like in Singapore for safety of workers and rakyat.

Maybe it is time to outsource the govt of Malaysia to Singapore govt. For such little red dot with teenie weenie resources to be doing so well compared to Malaysia must mean their leadership is more competent. Here we have id1ots who only talk about religion and race all the time.

The leaders of China were humble enough to go there and learn in 1978, the first year that Deng reached the top. It was not a syiok-sendiri trip.

Indeed so. LKY advised him a thing or 2 about how to start off and boost their economy. Together with their huge population and landmass, with Deng’s economic policies in place, we are able to see today the fruitification of their people’s hard work.

A principal issue is corruption, almost synonymous with capitalism and oligarchy but emphasised in S’pore. Today, NED, OSF (Soros), BGMF, etc. have a tough time making progress in China because (as I understand it)
-. China controls its currency almost fully, unlike others
-. Its corruption busters report directly to the top-most CPC committee.

“Recent Federal Court ruling a triumph for multicultural Malaysia, says MCA”

https://www.thevibes.com/articles/news/101061/recent-federal-court-ruling-a-triumph-for-multicultural-malaysia-says-mca

========

A triumph against what or whom, MCA? If the constitution says that is the law, the house of justice upheld that law. So, why rub it in. Got nothing better to do. It is a done, finished issue. Move on.

Just monitor the current talks on religious law issues and the amendments to the constitutional laws. Keep us Rakyat updated.

Gerakan to woo the NONs? Amend constitution to fit in religious laws? Talk of AI to solve floods? Agriculture sustainability ? Environment… Read more »

No choice but to depend on China for economic recovery. Malaysia could export more local products like Durian, Palm Oil, White Coffee etc to China in exchange for Belt and Road development.

Malaysia can lure mainland Chinese tourists to eat our heritage food Bak Kut Teh.

Here is the recipe by Sarah Tiong (MasterChef Australia contestant, may not related to our Minister Tiong):

Screaming for attention on BKT matter like a child demanding for attention, Akmal and his umno party seem to have forgotten that even Malays have abandoned them. Their party leader stole billions from the poor and future generations will kept on paying back the interest, long after the culprits are gone. Why does this party keep appointing spoilt brats to lead it?

So, what good will be Gerakan’s wooing of the Nons when religious groups are busy raising up religious issues, practicing religious politics and aggressively pursuing a religious agenda. Gerakan voice and standing in the Opposition is at best, zero. Gerakan can pretend to be important in the Opposition, that is its privilege. But how many of our Rakyat actually support the political party now bordering pretense and hypocrisy?  The worst part is that the current Opposition has not raised up any serious questions about or against the current ruling coalition’s poor performance in the last more than 100 days. Worse… Read more »
