But what does the by-election even mean to the ordinary voters?
Are the candidates addressing the real issues that matter to the people, from a multi-ethnic perspective (refer to the People’s Agenda)?
Or are they playing the same old game of racial politicking while calculating the percentages of ethnic Malays, Chinese, Indians and Orang Asli who will vote for them?
If it is the latter, we really haven’t moved forward, have we?

Singapore’s Lee Hsien Loong at 72 years of age has handed over the reins of power to a much younger Lawrence Wong at 51 years of ago to chart the next chapter in Singapore history. In Malaysia the leaders linger on past their shelf life and have to be removed and not step down voluntarily. Here in the 70s, 80, and even on their 90s stay on and some even want to be given a third chance. Ask Anwar who is 76 years now when does he plan to hand over power to a successor or does he even plan… Read more »

No, not wishing anything but if it happens, good for MCA, if it does not, no worries. MCA has many other things to work on like its education and health programs, and so on.
Clueless and pretentious supporters can continue with their support for their equally pretentious subservient political party in the current ruling government.
Notice now, their ex leadership is saying reforms are now going to take a very very long time. They didn’t say that during GE time, did they?
work on education but no jobs reserved for them. Like Ipoh mari, they have to go over the seas to cari makan. Health what health?
What nonsense. Must spoon feed everything? There are about 3 million foreigners working here. Why no jobs to make a honest living?

We are behind Singapore in every sense.
Singapore has limited natural resources. So, they have to improvise to survive.
Here we have natural coastal sea producing naturally variety of fishes and we have coastal fishermen to catch them.
But Mega minded so called smart state wants to destroy our natural food producing coastal sea for land reclamation to use artificial brick, mortar and concrete to build factories and whatever storage depots.
These the Penang people cannot see. And PIA expansion still hanging in the air.
red little dot but do you know how many times red dot has increased its size and destroyed its natural resources? Close one eye to down and open other eye to up?
no, we are ahead of them the cost of buying sea food
They are even developing coral reefs! Imagine, we may even lose out in related (competing) tourism.
Many of their GLCs make a profit. They compete with private sector in hospitals, schools, universities, electricity, telecoms, real estate development, banks, shopping malls, supermarket chains. Believe it or not.
What happens to the vegetables (by lorry-loads), processed foods, etc. that Singapore rejects as imports?
A Singapore reporter once interviewed a Malaysian vegetable farmer, who said he was growing separate vegetables for Singapore and Malaysian market – used less pesticide for the former.
why rakyat 8 dont see this point? He just went senget. Singapore are eating first class veg, we eat second class and full of poisons yet he talks about rain harvesting.
You should also ask why Malaysian farmers dumped vegetables to rot? No good distribution or middlemen control the market?
No jackpot or lucky strike. Just hard work and being from the same community helped. If from other community, no amount of jackpot or lucky strike or hard work can help.
And agree, here even after the cow fly over the moon also cannot. Maybe from same community can.
DAP won the State of Penang in the 2008 GE and the Chairman of DAP, Karpal Singh was not made the CM.
Also just like with the similar situation in Singapore, wanted to keep the CM post within their own community but kaypoh want to question and point fingers at other communities and their practice of politics (hypocrites).
Now at 10th anniversary, pretending to say so many nice things (political propaganda ? ) after the person have now transited to the next world.
MCA also keep its membership within its community.
Yes, but MCA does not claim itself to be a multi ethnic political party. DAP does but action speak otherwise.

This KKB by-election shows that MCA is the biggest loser.
Congratulations to PH.
How is MCA the biggest loser? They did not even contest any seats. In fact they were not even bothered about the by-election. Remember, they stayed away from it. They seem quite content in their present position as a neutral ‘Opposition’. Steady as she goes, boys! – ( MCA political party ).
Why not? they hope rocket is mca 2. turn out like india and japan rocket landed on the moon to become no 4 and 5 to land on the moon
MCA attempted sabotage on DAP and many Chinese are angry about it.
You guys are funny. What sabotage are you all talking about? Unity govt. has sidelined MCA, only accepted UMNO members. Most Chinese abandoned them. Why cry now and want to be angry.
Maybe, to remain active, MCA decided to take the role of an Opposition. For now, MCA has no obligation to anyone except to its members and supporters and to those ordinary Rakyat who seek their help.
So now, who has taken the lead role as a subservient party in the PH unity government? Be honest.
Ha, ha. In the world of truthfulness and honesty, voting me down mean I am right.
no, you talk so much here, we want to to lead the third force or advisor to muda.
mca can always send someone to contest. money no problem even if losing the deposit
Why contest and lose deposit money when there is no support. Silly thing to do. Better to wait until the voters come to their senses.
Then contest. Does not matter how long. Generational differences in in the coming years will change the thinking of present beliefs values and attitudes.
Current generation with their present beliefs, values and attitudes will be no more as they would have transited to the next world.
What is the purpose of election? After waiting, election is time to decide. Otherwise and to wait for few years to vote again. They have decided and many lost their deposit. They need Rakyat 8 to lead the third force but rakyat talk and talk and not do
Senior, why dont you tell the 3 stooges? What is your advice to MUDA, PSM, Gerakan and even MCA in coming by-election of General election? According to Younger will vote PN.according to the trend and sense. What say you?
If sidelined means not considered and want to take revenge. Now you say MCA decided to take role of opposition – just like PN – If not for, then opposition = against

Or can it simply mean to be in a state of limbo, in a state of uncertainty, unsure of why it exist now.
The Ulu Tiram incident is the new Bukit Kepung incident?
Time has changed. Communist is no longer a threat. JI is. The Malaysian politicians must update their narrative arguments to reflect this.
Now Malaysia need China more than ever after the antagonistic approach towards Yahudi/USA?
Who says communism is no longer a threat? Communist China in the South China Sea will always be a threat, no matter what they say.
Notice how they have now bulldozed through and claimed most of the South China Sea as theirs. Note too, that this land, Malaya, is of extreme importance to them for strategic reasons.
“Gajah sama Gajah berjuang, Pelanduk mati di tengah-tengah” Guess who we are?
US is the real threat. They wants to sanction anyone oppose them. They sanction N. Kores, Iran, Russia and even ban Tik Tok and item they cant compete. Now They want to sanction ICJ judges. They want all to follow their rules but when their rules are against US, they want to sanction the judgement
We are talking about South China Sea. USA did not build any military installations there. USA did not claim the whole of SCS as theirs. USA is not the one bullying Philippines’s fishermen and Navy at SCS.
Communist China is the one who is doing the bullying and riding roughshod at SCS. Communist China has also build military installations there and expanding hence a threat.
Because of these actions, other super powers are getting involved in SCS.
North Borneo and Sarawak are just like initial stage when the British came. They dont come with military force. They came with a Trading Co. China came to the islands as fishermen taking shelters. Please send more time on this otherwise you senget more
You forgot and when you are in your prime life, before yugoslavia broke up, China was unable to make any noise when US shot some missiles into Chinese Embassy and killed some diplomats.

The state has been under the governance of the DAP-led PH for 16 years, yet they have not implemented any strategies for rainwater harvesting.
It seems as though they are waiting for a private company involved in rainwater harvesting to invite the state government to officiate their opening ceremony before realizing the significance of this practice.
rainwater harvesting – no need for tech no logy. Just buy a plastic tank. But make sure the plastic is biodegradable. Otherwise 500 years waiting to rot in the dump and micro plastic eaten by fishes and we eat the fish.
You must be smART. Tell us how to harvest the rainfall that flood air hitam so that it does not flood? How many swimming pool tanks required to contain the flood? 8 or 88 or 888?
We have an executive committee (exco) member who holds dual positions in environment and housing. Maybe, he is waiting for instructions from his chief after his chief officiates a rainwater harvesting convention (not sure when) similar to what the chief did after officiating a renewable energy opening ceremony.
Instruction was sent out to all state agencies all over Penang state to work on renewable energy immediately. Till then state was sleeping on it. Lacking foresight ?
you think everything is instant cafe, instant maggie mee or 3 in 1 white coffee. Before implementing, the regulators have to look carefully. There are individual houses, terrace houses, shops, factories, dog house, kandang kerbau sheds, low rise, medium rise, schoolls, hospitals and how to size ie min raIN water tank if it is a regulation. If you are eager, you can buy a tangki and start to harvest rainfall. Be the third force. No need to wait. Just do it.
What is so difficult for the state government to introduce rainwater harvesting. The state government can begin by making it mandatory to include rainwater harvesting in the housing plans of the housing developers.
The PH state government led by DAP have been here for 16 long years managing the state. What is the difficulty?
Is this an empty talk, ” https://cm.penang.gov.my/index.php/en/all-stories/361807-penang-green-agenda-2030-launch “
Is it difficult for Rakyat to buy a tangki and collect rainwater? Or you want Penang Gomen to give free or discount price? Rakya – rain harvesting is simple to harvest rain from the roof. You harvest rain for washing cars, floors, toilets ie non drinking or cooking.
