Anti-PKR ‘protest’: Another sandiwara?

After getting a close look at the ‘pro-ISA protesters’ in Penang, we are now privileged to be able to closely study the ‘disgruntled PKR members’ bussed in to ‘protest’ outside the PKR headquarters on 21 November 2010.

I don’t know about you, but to me, many of them look utterly bored or not paying attention to the speech, only chanting and raising their hands on cue.

Most of the people carrying the banners are women and children, while quite a few of the men folk seem to be hanging around in the corridor further at the back.

All in a day’s work.

Looking at the crowd its not hard to realise why they are there. For some pittance they will do anything for the instigator and that instigator which we should have known who they are. No wonder the Indian will be marginalised for a very very long time to come.

Well the weekend before that, from what I read on Malaysiakini, it was apparently the same thing, only a smaller number (about 100) were there. Some told the reporter they were not even PKR members. Which probably means they may have been paid to be there, and 100 of them plus transport costs would have been quite a sum. And that expense would have been many times more for the 12 busloads on 21st Nov. Which makes me wonder just what on earth Jenapala was up to. Was it to support his attempt to seek redress over his sacking, which… Read more »

Anil Anil !!!! I too commented at the peoples parliment about the “particpants in the demo. I guess this is how it (could) work: Ring leaders approches “THE MAN” saying i can do a demo for you… But it will take some cash to give it to … KOW KOW. The MAN says “Aiya you dont worry about the expenses, i give you a lump sum of RM {insert any 5 figure} . Now ring leaders goes into a “marginalised area and connects with some “unemployed guys” saying “ok look here, if you can gather about 100 “members” i will… Read more »

It looks like a profitable business – RENT A DEMO.
No overheads, no EPF or SOCSO to pay, not even taxable income.
All you manage is a crowd of unthinking rural folks ever ready to act in unison on cue. Easier than a sandiwara on stage!
