The judge in the Anwar trial has reversed his own trial-within-a-trial ruling and has now allowed three disputed items to be tendered as evidence after deciding that Anwar’s arrest was lawful.
He had earlier disallowed DNA samples from a towel, a mineral water bottle and a toothbrush as they were unfairly obtained.
Why am I not surprised at this baffling turn of events?
Is anyone really surprised?
This turn of events comes in the wake of the ‘sex video’, produced by Datuk T, which tak jadi and has instead become the butt (pun unintended – really!) of jokes and smirks around the country.

Oh dear! The definition of sex in our country is so skewed, everyone is confused which is which. If consensual sex has to be legalised, does it mean that consensual sex is not legal now? All copulating couples will be/are offenders and have to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It will be good for population control and regulation….but doesn’t it also mean, the people of this country will become extinct!

It boggles the mind that natural sex has to obtain legal permission on the natural course or urge of passions or for procreation! Why not set up a 24/7 court desk at street corners of every kampong, suburb or city for the mere purpose of asking for sex permission?? Well.., the judiciary is giving us a roller coaster ride all this while which end up pr being flung into oblivion.
Poor anwar may take the fall… conviction is almost certain. The twitching part for the defense to authenticate the chain of custody with regards to the dna will loose its merit to the general perception of the malay folks in felda and rural areas where umno would garner their support.

The question now is, is the judge competent enough to handle the case independently? Is he competent enough? Why is he flip flopping? Is he taking orders from higher ups? Again, this judge contradicted himself within a space of seven days to the disadvantage of DSAI. As widely speculated, there is no way Anwar can win in this trial if it is held in Malaysia. This has to be one of the most ridiculous u-turn of a judicial decision ever made in Malaysia.
I think the defense need not pursue this case anymore because they have already lost the case.
The learned Judge might as well pass judgement now and finish the trial….
