Parliament leak an “act of God”: Nazri

21

The leak in Parliament – yet again – is an act of God, says Nazri, pointing out that the building is old. Actually it just reflects the lack of a culture of maintenance or plain incompetence.

Go ask the JKR, Nazri says, after being repeatedly questioned by journalists. Part of the problem, he said, is that the building was not designed for air-conditioning.

Aiyah, if the government cannot stem the leaks in Parliament, how to build a nuclear power plant? Too bad they can’t use the OSA to plug these parliamentary leaks!

Isn’t it poetic justice that the lack of a culture of maintenance has come back to haunt these BN law-makers?

Is leakages from the national coffers an Act of God too?
Don’t teach us the moral high ground of justifying sinful acts of leeching the nation, knowingly or unknowingly or ‘I don’t know’ excuses.
Do not use the name of God in foolish vain!

I cannot understand this leak fiasco. If the Parliament is leaking and if they cannot find a proper roofing plumber to fix it then they might as well filter the water and use it for the parliament canteen and washrooms lah. I mean then Nazri, Hishammuddin, Najib all can take a shower every morning courtesy of parliament roof leak.

I mean its amazing they want to build a 100 storey skyscraper but cannot fix the leak in parliament house. Aneh sekali!

Back in 2007 after the first leak, a certain pwd minister said “the government has approved RM12 million to undertake a review of the Parliament House, constructed 50 years ago, and propose the necessary repairs. “Of the RM12 mil, RM4 mil would be used for the review while the remaining RM8 mil would be used for immediate repairs,”….After spending 4 million just for review and 8 million repairs it last only 3 years. How the heck did they repair it? Slap it up with mud?

This is the kind of minister we have, actually not only we found it in Nazri, but almost every minister talks the same language – the act of God…

I truly hope that the wrath of God will come down and consume all these people esp of what is going on now in Anwar’s case…

Allah God, please have mercy in this land and save us, amin !!!

When BN is kicked out in the next general election, that will be an act of God too.

There’s a condo coming up in Gurney Drive with a swimming pool on every floor.

I remember some fantastic tale about how a 9/11 survivor managed to surf the collapsing towers.

I leave the rest to your imagination.

I don’t think they’re haunted by shoddy maintenance. Do you remember after the famous ‘demo’ scene in Robocop where Dick Jones is arguing with the upstart director running the Robocop replacement program? His anger is due to the loss of parts and maintenance programs worth billions, regardless of how lousy ED209 is. “Who cares if it works or not?” he shouts. Every time something goes wrong with one of their buildings, they must be rubbing their hands with glee.

If they want to build nuclear plant, build it next to the Parliament. When the parliament leaks again, they will understand what will happen when nuclear leaks. That is the only way to ensure that the nuclear plant is well maintained.

The parliament has been bocuh and repair many times. Funny to say the parliament is not well maintained. If highest Government Building is not well maintained, what about state and council/public asset which has to be filtered down from many departments.

It is clear there is some design flaws and major renovations bad supervision. As for nuclear plan, Gerakan/UMNO will not ask JKR.
