Organisers are expecting a large crowd at tonight’s gathering in the Kelana Jaya Stadium to usher in Malaysia Day. Pakatan leaders are also expected to call for the prompt release of Raja Petra and Teresa Kok.
According to The Star, the police have granted a permit for the event.
The event is expected to start at 7.00pm with the breaking of fast and Muslim prayers.
It will be followed by speeches from Pakatan leaders such as Kit Siang and Hadi and culminate with a keynote address by Anwar in conjunction with Malaysia Day.
I wonder if there are going to be any major announcements.

Please update on the gathering at Kelana Jaya . We who could not make it waiting anxiously for news
I also hope that all the speakers, especially DSAI, at the rally will take precautions for their safety. We can all smell the desperation in the air, and desperate and crazy people can be driven to do desperate things, as history has proven.
I hope the organising committee will ensure the security of all those involved. The attendees have to do their part too. Stay calm and do not let yourselves be provoked.
Dear All,
We have braved the odds and made it this far in a very fair and patient manner. I know that we Malaysians who want change will not be the provocatuers if there are any in today’s event so lets support Pakatan’s quest to take over the Federal government before it goes to the old regime again. We have matured politically, it is time that we record that in our history and let leaders with a vision for Malaysia which treats everyone as a Malaysian first lead the country.
All Malaysians must support Dato Seri Anwar to succeed this time to atke government,… Most of the posters have cautioned attendees to behave…,
…it is not possible to call off the event but my caution to th organisers is to think of a strategy to thwart (any) evil intention …
East Malaysians, please do something good to safe Malaysia out of all these rots. It seems your masters in Semenanjung have lost their directions.
Creating history is in your hands now. We don’t want our basic rights to be hijacked anymore.
Safe RPK, Teresa Kok, Hindraf 5 and the rest of justice fighters so that all can enjoy the coming Hari Raya.
To all those attending the rally, please behave yourself! Make it a very peaceful one! Show the government that opposition are resonsible people and do not give them excuses to impose draconic laws!!!
GOD bless of of you!!!
