Charity begins at home. I pray that the same charity work is done to the poor and marginalised Malaysians. There are many unfortunate people in the country who need help – food, clothing, medicine, schooling, scholarships, loans, housing, jobs, love and care. The rich Arab countries are not helping the Gazans out of hate for Hamas. They are helping their own people who need help. It was bad enough when I found out who had sponsored the boat, but now… I realise if you’re a human rights protester, you’re unlikely to have the kind of incomes that are so readily available to the human rights abusers, but surely there’s a limit to how low one should have to stoop? Who will the next boat be sponsored by – Kim jong-Il and Thaksin Shinawatra? To be followed shortly by a submarine with aid-laden torpedoes from Mugabe and Kim jong-Il?

Whichever ship that comes into Israel water must be inspected by the Israeli authority. This is international practice. If the ship carries medicine, food and clothings for the people it should get the nod from the Israeli authority. Just follow the norm. If there are other ‘unwanted elements’ in the ship, those elements have to be weeded out. Those on the ship should concede to Israeli inspection. Hours ago they were sending out “OFFICIAL” “Rachel Corrie boarded by isrealis” “No casulties, thank God!” nessages.
When in truth the Isreali navy was only tailing the ship and jamming communications.
Confirm facts first lah. Rumours spewed out as OFFICIAL news is not doing any good to anyone.
