Somehow the government appears to think that the effects of the global economic crisis will have minimal effects on the local economy. Is it in denial mode?

This article by Dr Jeyakumar published by Aliran might prompt the government to think again about and be better prepared for any shockwaves next year.

Malaysia heading in the same direction as Greece, Portugal, Iceland & other fragile Euro economy.
Matter of time there is a collapse, fear is that BN Govt will use all our EPF money to prop up our economy.
EPF contributors may be forced to take the money out on monthly pensions

Actually, these are licensed gambling that governments agree not to ban for the sake of easy tax money. Otherwise, the 1% super richies of the world would find better, meaningful ways to patiently make money yet contribute to job growth for the 99%. Greed is the one main underlying ‘convenient’ factor that make the day for these 1%. And this greed is compounded by… Read more »

General Election aka PRU13 must be held soon so gomen got no choice to continue propagate rosy news (latest free Astro to njoy to pull in more rural votes). Simple as that.
More subsidy, more spending (eg buying jets at LIMA) for short term national euphoria then later new gomen got to “tanggung” the consequences when reality sinks in.
R U STILL IN SLUMBER MODE ? TIME TO WAKE UP & VOTE WITH THE CONSCIENCE FOR YOURSELF (NOT JUST YOUR OFFSPRINGS)
