3D drone video of landslides on Penang Hill REMOVED from YouTube

A drone video originally put up on YouTube depicting the serious landslide scars on Penang Hill was removed by the user after it was highlighted in this blog yesterday. The above still image was captured before the video was yanked out.

You can see here that the video has been removed. Ask yourself why they don’t want you to see the 3D drone images of landslide prone Penang Hill. Transparency?

Meanwhile, a group calling itself Anak Pinang, believed to be a group of state government supporters, has taken another potshot at Penang Forum. Check it out for your entertainment, and you be the judge. One of Anak Pinang’s main objectives as an “NGO” appears to be running down Penang Forum. All I can say to that post are the now-famous words of that that cool beer promoter: “You are hilarious.”

Speaking of NGOs, there are NGOs (non-governmental organisations) and there are NGOs (or rather GONGOs). Yes, there is such a term as Gongo. Gongos are government-initiated, government-organised or government-supported NGOs or groups – in other words, groups whose objectives are aligned with the government. They are set up to emulate other NGOs but they actually promote and further the government agenda.

As for Penang Hill, I leave you with a little reflection. When you put the authority of a public recreational area or park under the control of a corporation like Penang Hill Corporation or Penang State Park (Botanic) Corporation, invariably the ‘bottom line’ (ie making more and more profits) is likely to become more and more important, regardless of the environmental consequences.

Chances are the corporation will then start behaving like any other company, dreaming up all sorts of money-making ideas, projects and schemes. That is when a place like Penang Hill loses its charm as a tranquil getaway and instead gradually morphs into another Genting Highlands. Is this want Penangites really want?

Build on Penang Hill, not on Penang Hillslope.

Today Genting Resort still stand strong on hill top and solid as before, no landslide issue if properly built. Of course must check the Feng Shui first.

Must remember that the late Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong donated 28-acre land and RM8.1 million for the construction of the Chin Swee Caves Temple, about 5–10 minutes’ drive down from the peak of the mountains of Genting Highlands. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chin_Swee_Caves_Temple Tan Sri Lim who acted as the planner, architect, designer, contractor and supervisor used manual labour for the digging of the foundation for the temple. He and his team manually dug holes of 80 to 100 ft in depth for this tricky hill slope development. After all this tedious and time-consuming work the Temple was completed in 18 years. Why does Penang Forum always have to condam any person that does not agree with their reasoning must be after money. Is Penang Forum implying that everybody out side of his circle are all … and only those few within them are the best breed of Penang. Discussion of different opinions should be a healthy exercise in democracy goverment.

A Malaysian steward has been jailed for trying to leave Britain with £150,000 (RM807,300) in cash, which he initially said was for handbags and watches from Harrods.

The National Crime Agency (NCA), a British law enforcement agency, reported that Muhamad Aziz, 37, has been sentenced to 12 months’ jail after pleading guilty to money laundering charges at the Isleworth Crown Court last Thursday.

We should hope that the new gomen does not ratify – or abrogates – the CPTPP or whatever it is called now. Its main purpose and emphasis is protecting “investors” including crooks. It will mean a lot of effort, propaganda and concessions to soothe and attract these voracious and ungrateful speculators – the global pirates who destroy one country after another. It means rewriting our laws. How many have been changed already? Are there plans to undo the damage?

Unfotunately, Bersatu has just allowed the main supporter of this agreement in the previous gomen to join it.

If pg forum can boast sign up 23,000. Why not ask them to sign up as public transport patron. Instantly 10k cars will disappear from the road! Then no need to built highway ad lowway. If 23,000 new patrons taking buses, then they can ask loke siew fung to buy electric bus. But then pg forum themselves are using cars. Like highways, pg forum should said if mppp wants to built highways, they should include biicycleways beside highways. When a CM acts like a school bully — Ravinder Singh https://www.malaymail.com/s/1696190/when-a-cm-acts-like-a-school-bully-ravinder-singh NOVEMBER 23 — I am rather surprised to see Penang CM Chow Kon Yeow act like a school bully who cannot accept his school friends not saying “yes” to his “smart” ideas and as a result start throwing tantrums at them. That is what the CM is making himself look like when he cannot accept that the NGO’s in Penang do not agree with his grand plans to “develop” Penang that are born out of a desire to help business people make money. He then cynically, and proudly,… Read more »

5 months plus, is this the revelation of Malaysia Baru?

I hope the owner of this enlightening video will tell us the truth so nobody will guesswork what conspiracy evil lurks in our midst.
“Knowledge is power to the men in the streets BUT a thorn in the seats of those in power”.
How can these powerful men sit quietly thro’ the revelation?

Let’s be brave to confront & challenge (evil) for a better Penang, if not Malaysia Baru? Penang.

The important qualifications for leaders include thick skin (even on the part where they sit), acting ability, articulation (bulls***) and flexible principles. This man has only been in power for 6 months, so can you blame Robert Mugabe and his ilk?

There is only so much his party ministers in Putrajaya can do to justify this madness. Isn’t it time for the party to admitits colossal blunder driven by greed and reverse course?
