Successful as a politician has a different context in Malaysia depending on whether you are a YB in Barisan or Pakatan.

Successful politician sees no humans, no rakyat but voters, plain voters.

Most successful politician is like Mahathir, who can point at other faults in no time, he can even laid his blame on the former PM before Abdullah, (who helms for like 23yrs for rotting the good governances), still he get applauses from BN’s members and supporters. He is perfect, if not because he is a constitution bumiputra, he would have turned Umno into a religion.
