This is the scene at Savoy Garden, about a kilometre from the Ayer Itam Dam, after houses on private land were demolished.
Residents in remaining homes are now worried.
The land is being cleared for a crematorium and columbarium project.
From what I hear, no EIA was required for this project.
I think it is not very wise to clear hill-sides and dump debris into the stream at a time when many are worried about flash floods.
