So there you have it: the Pakatan leaders have come out with a firm stand against “unity talks” with Umno, much to the relief of the many Malaysians who voted for change and reforms in the last general election.
Surely, this must put all those within Pas who initially backed the “unity talks” proposal – notably Hadi and Nasharudin – in an awkward position. It’s time for the party to project leaders who are more open and in touch with the aspirations of the rakyat, namely folks like Husam Musa and Nizar.
But wait, Nik Aziz has agreed to the unity talks – at least that’s what Bernama wants us to believe! Check it out here. Talk about mainstream media spinning – and what bad timing to spin when the Pakatan leaders came out the next moment with a firm “no”!
If Umno is really interested in “unity”, then it should favourably consider the Kelantan government’s demand for RM1 billion in oil royalties due to it since 2004. Husam is claiming that a federal report shows that revenue from offshore oil extracted from the state amounts to at least RM2.5 billion annually. Check out a Harakah Daily report here.

Are we saying that there has been no unity amongst Malaysians for the last 50 odd years? The so-called “unity” ploy is to create disunity amongst Pakatan Rakyat and nothing more, nothing less! After creating the Perak political impasse and imbroglio, the present PM and his UMNO/BN goons are spinning this “unity” story. They are only spinning the spin and deluding themselves. Like 1Malaysia, there has always been one Malaysia and formerly Malaya. There has never been 2 or 3 Malaysia as far as I know. UMNO has to cling on to power with whatever it takes or the gravy… Read more »
How pretentious, all those “unity talks” is nothing else but rounding up greedy toadies willing to jump and willing UMNO to pay afterall UMNO is cash rich.
So now Nasharudin’s not leaving PAS? Malu lah! Now the question is who in PAS/PR will ever put their trust in him again? His every moves will be gauged with suspicion from now on!
The unity talk is just UMNO desperate move to avoid the embrassment of another defeat in Manek Urai.

What does UMNO has to lose? Nothing since it already lost Manek Urai. Right? So it simply want PAS and PR to fall with it.
Shiok Guy
PAS knows it and every Malaysians knows it. If PAS join force with Umno Baru, PAS will be swallowed by Umno Baru and PAS will never has a second chance with the voters. PAS as a fact cant reach out to the urban voters on its own. The facts is very clear…PR strengths lies on the leadership of Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim. So whoever think otherwise, I can tell them they are dead wrong.
… is a leader of a despicable political party, who is simply hanging in the breeze……
Najis … is nothing more than a… with his fingerprints all over the political impasse in Perak…
he … PAS, he knew it. How can he now has the galls to seek for a unity govt with PAS…what a blooming Mr Spin… he is.
PR Alliance has the brains and the will to stick on together, the corrupted goons from govt, their days are numbered…….
Well said Anil, I can’t agree more! It’s time jokers like Nasharudin Mat Isa move on to join UMNO since they are so infatuated by UMNO once again. Nashrudin betrayed many PAS supporters who had magnanimously given him a second chance/term as Deputy PAS President but does he deserve their trust? Obviously he does not! He allowed UMNO to drive into Pakatan Rakyat wedge of discord, animosity and distrust under pretext of want for ‘uniting the Malays’. Go on Nasharudin, show UMNO the many toadies you are able to hop over with. Since you have lost all credibility in PAS,… Read more »
