Anwar-Abdullah lunch fuels speculation

What a day to have lunch together.

On a day when Najib is announcing his staggering RM60 billion stimulus package, Abdullah has lunch with Anwar.

I haven’t seen Abdullah looking so relaxed and cheerful for a long time. Click here to have a peek.

According to PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar in his blog, both leaders were invited by Al-Fadhil Tuan Guru Syeikh Mahmud Al-Majzubdi (better known as Tok Ayah) for the Maulud Rasul celebrations at the Madrasah Nurul Iman, Hulu Langat in Selangor.

Anwar says people are reading too much into the encounter. But hey, it’s not everyday the PM and Anwar have lunch together; so tongues are bound to wag.

Anyway, 49 per cent of over 5,000 respondents to the poll on this blog think that Abdullah will remain as PM after March while only 11 per cent of you think Najib will take over.  Let’s wait and see what happens.

You know, Anil, it may be out of this world, but somewhere deep inside me, I’m just hoping for Badawi to pull off a ‘Brutus’ styled, melodramatic change of heart and pull the curtains down on Najib, as he himself goes down. Wishful thinking? 😀

Love for country and Party or personal glory?

Of course Najib is dying to be the PM. But can the country afford to have him as PM with the kind of baggage that he is carrying?

If he has any love for the country and Party he should not assume the post. Love for country and Party of personal glory? Time to call his bluff.

I would propose DSAI and Pak Lah have more casual meetings before the end of Mar 09, that could trigger awareness and changes for the future of the Nation. Prominent persons known to both DSAI and Pak Lah should initiate and facilitate such meetings.Afterall, their friendship goes a long way other than the recent political drama which is destroying the nation.Suggest that both of them seriously ponder to establish a decent political system with strong opposition for the continuous prosperity of Malaysia by end March .Change, of course, both parties have to accept and compromise. Are we kidding ourselves that the DPM is not going to take over the PM post end of this month?

Let’s face it, it will definately happen and Najib will take over as PM end of this month. Let’s not live in denial like those umno goons.

The question we should ask is ,how long will Najib last as PM?

My guess is less than four years.Come the next GE the whole BN will be wipe out. Remember”RAHMAN”.N will be the last PM from umno…. I will bet my last dollar on this.

Dato Sri Abdullah having lunch with Dato Sri Anwar. Its normal. After all they were invited for the Maulidul Rasul Celebration by One Tuan Guru. Being a Tuan Guru, I believe he had something to say to both Datos, but definitely not about financial matter…..i guess.

Well, I’ve been quite consistent.

Badawi, to me, doesn’t have a major flaw, unlike other flea infested politicians. His was the soft approach.

But as we all know by now, soft or hard, it will be business as usual.

Let’s not forget the two hour closed door meeting between the two shortly after Anwar was released.

Now where are those hidden cameras when you need them? Any idea, Soi Lek?

I sincerely hope that Pak Lah-Anwar pull off a ‘coup’ and keep Pak Lah as the PM for a while longer. Pak Lah has been a great PM in many ways. He brought in more freedom of speech, more democracy compared to dictatorship Koya Kutty dished out to us, allowed a stronger opposition to flourish.
The PM in waiting… has way too much baggage to be a PM in the first place. Bank Negara Malaysia may be renamed soon to “BNR” after the change of guards

No wonder pix on Najis looks gloomy this afternoon – on Rm60 Bil. Either his mind is on the amount or the lunch meet, but he wasn’t there physicaly. Abdullah says it may be too late stopping but then again, knowing Zzzzzz head, U turn is his hallmark. Who knows?
Perhaps, a long short, Abdullah may well be the savior for the day, No?

I suggest PR to submit a motion to Vote for confidence for Pak Lah remain to be PM ..

With 83 PR + 2 Sapp + PM + KJ , it only required 26 votes from BN to keep Pak Lah as PM.
