What you’re doing is amazing, Anil. I’m sure a few hundred thousand people are online with you as you blog live in Perak. Stamina & sheer serendipity, my friend.
Did YB Nizar not attempt to enter his office today? Or it that strategy discontinued?
Sorry, I guess Monday was a public holiday in Perak?
i think it’s going to be a peaceful takeover! In anycase keep well and way out of trouble

It is nearly two hours after 9am today.
As I commented an hour earlier although that comment was understandably not used by you, Anil, to avoid your readers getting pening by the flood of responses, it may be that both sides are deeply engaged in, or worse still, embroiled in deep discussions.
Malaysian Malay politics being such, it has almost always been the politics of wayang kulit. Usually, discussions are held to seek a consensus and avoid confrontations.
The Stephen Kalong Ningkan case in the 1960s, the Harun Idris case in the 1980s and the Anwar Ibrahim case in the late 1990s are three of a few cases where the politics of consensus failed, for very obvious reasons.
Anil. Your method of live reporting is very good. News are coming in faster than M’kini and M2day. You might have to do a full time job from now on or set up a E-live news for all Malaysian to subscribe to. Once again , Syabas.
May you be well and happy.
Retribution will take its natural cause. All these sinners will be facing it very very very very soon. No one will ever able to runaway from what he/she did either good or bad.
Great job Anil! I’ve followed your live blog for almost a week, since the illegal takeover of the Perak government.
The 3 independents
Walking on a tight rope
Feeling the air current
Swirling around
They thought they are free
Running to support the devil
When they sold their souls
Sleeping will be deprived
Harm Noh going on a buying spree
Bags full of mint aroma dulls the mind
The weakest souls will fall
Easily into temptations
The 3 independents
Cleverly hiding the true reasons
On the rooftop poking the wind
They thought they are free
One tries to hide
Dare not feel the raw anger of the crowd
Slowly disappearing his face
Thinking he can escape
Two wrongs never make a right
The 3 independents realize
The road of their salvation
They have to pay
Money isn’t everything my friends
Black Tuesday
Perakians hold today
Signaling the death of democracy
When majority has no say
The supporters wearing black
Telling all and sundry
See how our votes didn’t count
Elected our own turned up differently
All because of 3
This is the silent death
The democracy die
Giving the wrong reasons
They think they can go free
People and country
The work of the elected people
There shouldn’t be any personal greed and gains
It is the job willingly sacrificed
The people and nation
Then money rules
The minds and souls
The Black Tuesday
Perakians hold today
When majority has no say
Najib adopts people-first leadership style!!!

MR. ANIL.
hate watching mainstream dailies, tv news. you’re the most close to us to story what is real happened.
more stories to come the way:
1. Bukit Gantang by-election.
2. Osman-Jamal Court Proceedings. (hope they lose it)
do you have any flickr, fofopages? it much easier to just upload pics in there.
where have u been in ipoh? ipoh neighbourhood welcomes you. i wanna meet u and shaking hands hence your great job bro. (last time ive seen you at MB residence without specs, is that you?)
Best coverage in Perak, Malaysia, and some say the world!
The demo by UMNO is outside the UMNO building along Jalan Gopeng I believe . Can see them outside Casurina Hotel which is private property. Wonder why PDRM didnt chase them away with tear gas and water cannons……OH silly me UMNO only can protest.
Anil, Thks for the excellent live coverage this past weeks and I salute u for your dedication to true and good journalism. Have a safe and pleasant drive back to Pg.
Can anyone veryfy if the pro UMNO/Sultan supporters are from Perak?
Some UMNO members can recognize non Perakians involved in demo outside Istana although they are not Perakians themselves. Wonder are those people UMNO … planted to create trouble.
Also why so long to “organize” rally.
So silly of UMNO to try and prove peoples support in Perak.
Good job Anil. Well done.
Live info is always the best
A new corrupt government has been successfully formed. A peaceful takeover maa…

Thanks Anil .You take care !
all this protests must stop la, look at UMNO , there r making karpals statement to take the sultans decision to court a racial issue. this shows UMNO nor BN has changed. I am making a plea from my heart, for the sake of unity, harmony, please stop this protestings, fight it out professionally. Protest may lead to unruly stuff. we all know police practice double standars, suddenly now najib is quiet, he is waiting for all this to stop i guess,… all leaders must unite n defend karpal, put aside the statement karpal made againsts them but of course try not allowing such statements hitting out at leaders openly to be a precedent in future. unless problem cant be solved internally. but i believe karpal is smart. BN will fail in bukit selambau n bukit gantang. they rather dun contest. wat has karpals statement got to do with ketuanan or hidup melayu. we r all malaysians , kita mesti bersatu padu, semua rakyat mesti daulat tuanku dan menghormati Sultan, bukan kaum melayu sahaja, malah sekiranya melibatkan undang undang ia tidak harus dilihat sebagai satu hasutan atau kebencian terhadap Sultan. saya bukan mereka cerita, but frm my heart, i really love the sultan n monarchy of malaysia. PAK LAH must tell UMNO to stop their protests n do their work. UMNO is gonna cause racial probs.
Anil,
Thanks for an amazing coverage of the past few days. It was as good as it got to being on the inside and getting an unadulterated view of what was really happening. I look forward to your coverage of the Bukit Gantang by-election.

dear anil
surely a responsible govt would settle this much talked about ‘constitutional crisis’ as to which is the legitimate government elected by the people? We cannot have two sets of State vehicles (Camrys and Perdanas) running around in town. Many can be confused by the status of “independent” wakil rakyat when they have been said to be in support of a particular party but not admitted as a member yet. How can they then be said to be ‘independent’. Also what is the legal status of ‘Advisors with the same status of Exco members” who can be classified has ‘unqualified persons’ being losers in the 08 March GE and therefore are not elected by the people? So can we logically conclude that a democratic government is one NOT necessarily elected by the people????
