Bersih 2.0 reports that the Bersih 5 Convoy will be flagged off at 9am on 1 October 2016 and will run every weekend until the Bersih 5 rally on 19 November 2016.

Seven convoys will weave their way from the North, South, East and West of Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah and Sarawak and head towards KL, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.

The objective: to raise awareness of Bersih 5’s demands for institutional reforms and the severity of the 1MDB crisis. “As Malaysians, we must stand up and reach out to start a nationwide conversation on these issues because our collective future is in danger,” said Bersih 2.0.

Meanwhile, the Red Shirts are gathering in Lumut to counter the Bersih 5 Convoy campaign:

In a democracy worth its name, they are entitled to gather and demonstrate – but they should not try and disrupt the Bersih 5 Convoy and the 19 November rally or intimidate those taking part.

Will you be taking part in the Bersih 5 convoys and rally? What do you think of the event? Your thoughts, please.

  1. Keep the Bersih momentum going.
    Wear yellow on Saturdays.
Better still, buy and wear Bersih 5 t-shirts to show support.

  2. May Bersih reach the heartlands of kampungs, dusuns, sawah padi & the many pondoks of Malay social rendezvous to spread the awareness of Kotor in Putrefied Jaya.
It is the pure conscience guided by God Almighty that will wake up the entire Tanah Air Cinta Ku – that enough is enough of these Kotor ruining Malaysia & robbing + impoverishes the Rakyat regardless of Malay, Chinese, Indian, Bengali & Eurasians.
    We see it
    We hear about it
    We feel it
Are we still denying it? Tanya lah sendiri, Baju Merah!
