Today’s front page of the Malay Mail is a regrettable example of gutter journalism. It features a headline story about nude photos of a Selangor female politician circulating in the public domain.
The photos were believed to be taken using a camera phone without her consent by a former boyfriend while she was sleeping.
“The Malay Mail played dirty by putting a picture of a bare-backed woman next to the story,” said one political analyst, who described it as “gutter politics”.
On the front cover, an unrelated photo of a bare-backed female Formula One driver on the right is staring towards the left at the bold headline of the Selangor nude photos story, “Fury over bedroom invasion”.
Apart from the juxtapositioning of an unrelated picture next to a sensationalist story, the choice of front-page story is revealing.
We are being struck by probably the greatest global economic downturn since the Great Depression – and some are predicting that it could be worse than that. Manufacturing and exports are nose-diving, workers are being laid off, others are struggling to cope with the high cost of living. Many ordinary people are suffering.
That’s not all. The Selangor state government is in the midst of crucial negotiations to take over water assets from private concessionaires who are eyeing a tariff hike. Perak is experiencing a major constitutional crisis.
None of these merits front page coverage in the Malay Mail, which instead has other priorities in its bid to sell more newspapers.

If it is true that the picture was taken without her consent by a former boyfriend while she was sleeping, then I suggest that Elizabeth Wong should expose the identity of the ex-boyfriend. Let the world know what this man is capable of. Perhaps he may even get hounded the same way Hee Yit Foong is being hounded by Malaysians.

Khir Toyo’s call on Elizabeth wong’s resignation is so ludicrous. Coming from a sexist party who have no respect for women, the call is so predictable.
Khir Toyo thinks Malaysian public is stupid. He has no respect for us.
If being a mature adult who is single without any attachement, what she has committed is many shades lighter than the likes of Mr Froggie bin Independent. Dr Chua and Mr Froggie are both married, while Kedah assemblyman is purportedly practising bigamy. How convenient for the ex-dentist to ignore that vital difference.
Elizabeth wong is single so she is a free agent. In any case, applying the strict moral code of the ex-dentist, the perak ‘independent yet alligned to bn’ frog has to resign and give way to a by election in perak. For the PM in waiting to so happily welcome such creatures makes one wonder the calibre and moral standard of this very big shot from Umno. Going by Khir’s standard, many of BN politicians too have to step down.
Is pre-marital sex worse than corruption????????? Right now, we have both sexual immorality and corruption amongst so many BN big shots…. so who should clean house first??
If the PR leaders do what Khir suggests, I am afraid this is going to bring alot of unhappiness amongst womenfolks like me.

Eliabeth Wong is doing a great job. Remember Bukit Antarabangsa, she was one of very few politicos who actually helped. She has always opposed hillside developments. Her loss would be damaging to all Malaysians.
There is nothing shameful in sleeping naked. It is however very malu to publish unauthorised pictures and even worse to steal political mileage from it. Especially, when you are a very tainted former MB with the lifestyle of a prince.

Sleeping naked is not an offence. There are millions and millions of people, men and women, young and old, sleep naked. What is wrong with that? I do sleep naked some time. This is private matter.
The question now is who is this person(s) who do this dirty job? What is his/her intention of taking naked photo of others? Is he/she paid to sabotage other or make other life miserable?
My advice to this person(s) who invaded Liz’s private life, don’t think that nobody knows what you had done.God is watching you. You will be punished.
